Mummy is very particular about our day-to-day hygiene and health. One thing that she takes pride in, is how she manages to brush our pearly whites. Not just that.  She does it EVERYDAY. Religiously. #sheprobablywishesthatwecanbrushitourselves #sorrywedonothaveopposablethumbs PS: Ah ma got stinky breath, so I sit far far away. I started brushing my teeth when I was just a two month old puppy. Since the habit started really young, I am actually very fond of it. #thatexplainswhymyteethlooksogood I am 6 this year, and judging from the condition of my teeth, I’m very confident to say that there is no need for any scaling anytime soon. #thevetswhoIseearealwaysveryimpressed #importanceofbrushingteeth  (Okay la, Mummy thinks raw bones play a larger part, but that’s for another day/another post) Pecan, on the other hand, is almost bo-gay (toothless) after two scaling sessions to rid her of her bad (BAD, BAD) breath.  Now, her breath is way better. Made with love (once again) – Dehydrated treats!

We got busy with Mummy’s newest toy… a dehydrator! To be exact, it’s a Rommelsacher Automatic Dehydrator. This isn’t our first dehydrator. We used to have one that Mummy brought back from the states. Too bad for us, it gave way while it was chucked away in storage during our move. So, that gave Mummy a new reason to go shopping. #mouldyliao #mummyjustwantedareasontobuyanicerone There really isn’t many options for affordable dehydrators locally. Many of the meat dehydrators range in the high $700s.  #cannotaffordlor On the other hand, way cheaper ones are available on online stores. However, they don’t come with warranty and that kinda worries Mummy a little. Our home – work in progress!

So, we finally got the keys to our new place in February this year and reno works started in March. Welcome to our new un-done place! #payusintreatstoenter We’re really excited to move in. Come on, just look at our new improved view. How can you not be excited? #countingcarswillbemypasttimesoon Now staying at home won’t be as boring as it used to be! As our new apartment is a resale unit, there is a substantial amount of renovation works that needed to be done. The Itchy granny

Pecan has been scratching non-stop of late and that got Mummy slightly worried. While she was concerned, she wanted to KIV for the moment. Then, a couple of days ago, she noticed a bump on ah ma’s chest (the spot where Pecan couldn’t stop scratching). So, rather swiftly, a vet appointment was scheduled and off to the scary place ah ma went. #luckynotme #goodluckahma Turns out that the skin bump was probably environment-related. Bumps are never a good thing, especially on a senior dog. But thankfully (and quite grossly), Pecan’s persistent scratching did cause the bump to burst.  #yucks While the bump is gone (phew), it is now an exposed wound and prone to infection. With that, we went home with a cream and instructions to prevent her from scratching or irritating the stop further. #nowshehasabaldpatchonherchest #lol It’s amazing how Mummy can always find reasons for her shopaholic ways. What’s up?

Well, nothing much actually.  Mummy was up to her neck in her work for the past month and would much rather catch up with her sleep than blog for us. #wehaveaterriblemummy So, for the Nth time, we apologise for the lack of posts no thanks to we-know-who. #pointsourpawsatmummy Thank you for not giving up on us! On a good note, things are finally moving for us! After a couple of months of deliberation and multiple (really disappointing) meetings with IDs, Mummy decided to take things in her own hands and decorate/design our new apartment herself. #dieliaola #surenodesignsenseone #lookhowmuchfaithwehaveinourmummy Regardless of how the place turns out to be (fingers/paws crossed), Pecan and I are really looking forward to just having our own space once again. I turned SIX – My first celebration!

Well, if you think my birthday is just over like that, you are so so so wrong. #dontforgetmummyisobsessedwithmelor #mybirthdayisahugethinghor Lucky for me, the actual day fell on a school day! (I go to dog school at Puppy Colours every tuesday.) School started off as per normal. And that means hanging out with my classmates and getting into trouble . #happyfacesallaround After all the fun and learning, it was the best part of the day –  My birthday Celebration. Mummy ordered a rainbow cake from The Barkery.  #mummyisdabest #nowallmyclassmatesknowhowoldIam #iamyoungatheart While I am usually a red meat eater, Mummy decided to go for a lighter flavour and chose fish instead. Our X’mas countdown

December is possibly one of our favourite months of the year. (We love Jan, August, Sep too!) Because… Christmas is around the corner! Woohoo~ #wewelcomeallsortsofchristmaspresent #pleasesendthemourway Awesome mummy decided to kickstart celebrations a tad early by getting us Advent Calendars from Barking Good! #dontaskmewhatanadventcalendaris #thisismyfirsttimehearingaboutit #butgotfoodwhocares Thank you Auntie Dionne for delivering them to our doorsteps. #wepaidherwithtailwags Most of our stuff are in storage, hence, the pathetic setup.  #lifesuckslivingoutofsuitcases Anyway, we did what most people would do and googled the term “advent calendar”. Turns out that it’s a special calendar to count the days in anticipation to X’mas! Our family photoshoot

While our parents ain’t really the phototaking/selfie kinda people, Mummy insists on a family photoshoot tradition.  This means that with the addition of a new family member, there must be a photoshoot. When our parents got hitched, they did one. When they got the absolutely adorable world cutest me, we did one in NYC. So now that we’ve ah ma, it’s time for yet another one. #musthurrydobeforeahmaXXX #choy Mummy and Daddy hired Uncle Terry from One Eye Click for their pre-wedding and actual day shoot. She was so pleased with the experience that she knew instantly that she wanted Terry to photograph our future milestones.  In fact, she was super tempted to fly him to NYC for our shoot there. Of course stingy Daddy put a stop to it. #mustprotecthisownpocketma Instead, Mummy found an amazing photographer, Auntie Melissa to do it. Cushion us!

We all know Mummy is kinda obsessed with us. #thatisanunderstatementlor And I’m sure if she can choose, she would keep us on the couch as decor. #wetoocutela #wemakethebesthomeaccents Plus, she wants to be able to hug us day and night… #omgnojustno But we all know it’s impossible. (Phew~) #shecanconsidertaxidermisinguswhenwepass #iamsuredaddywilldivorceherthen So she decided to settle for the next best thing. And it comes in a box…. Peek-a-boo… Ta~dah! Introducing the cushion version of us! Mummy first saw this illustrator on Dog-Milk and immediately wanted one, i mean two.  She had always wanted a pillow version of us and did go as far as to print a silk-screen version of me. However, she realised that the end product is highly dependent on the quality of the photo. And since she is a sucky photographer, of course it didn’t turn out very well. Hence, these cushions from Kara Burke are a win-win. Quickie Art and Craft

Jack Russell Mania (JRM) is turning 13 this July. #cannotbelievegotthingsolderthantheancientpecan To get us ready for the exciting celebrations, Mummy ordered two JRM bandanas just for us. #ithinkiwearitbetterthanher #shhhhhdonttellherIsaidthat Okay okay, I think we both look pretty cool in it.  However, once we take it off, we won’t able to differentiate which belong to who.  #ifIwearwronghow #hersissmellyleh #cosshesuredroolonit  So, we attempted to mark our own bandanas with our own saliva. #spotourlittletongues #howhygienichor Thankfully the crafty (pun intended) Mummy had something up her sleeves. It was a real quick fix.  All she used were Martha Stewart stencils, satin paint, a sponge brush and a plastic container. And viola~ our very own customised bandanas. Not only does it look (and smell) good, it took Mummy less than five minutes.  #quickieartandcraft Doing an arty farty shot with them.  #showingoff #cannotissit Now people will know who we are when we attend the upcoming celebrations.
