Me and Mummy went on a special date last saturday!  (Yes, we left Pecan ah ma and Daddy behind at home to rot to death. Ho Ho Ho ) For our special day out, Mummy decided to bring me to the city! Well, The promontory @ Marina Bay to be exact. And yes, I finally got to enjoy the satisfaction of marking my territory at Marina Bay. Wahahahaha The truth was… Mummy brought me to the 8 Days Pets ‘n’ the City 2014 event. Since Pecan ah ma isn’t very dog friendly yet, Mummy decided to leave her behind and got Daddy to accompany her (Before you start pitying Daddy, he actually likes being home rather than stuck at a dog event). The event was a little blah~ I mean the booths were disappointing and there was nothing for sale that I wanted.  Mummy did get a free Old Chang Kee curry puff, which she gobbled up herself without offering me any. Pinku-chan the Octopus

Auntie JY bought us a new toy from Ju-be a few weeks ago! We decided to name it Pinku-chan! And yap, she’s a hand-knitted Octopus, made of toxic-free wool. We likey~  “Oh.. you mean Pinku is not my dinner?” Dang~ When I realized Pinku-chan was no calamari, I’ve to admit that I was a little disappointed. But thankfully Pinku-chan is really sporting and fun to play with. One of our favorite games is balancing her on our foreheads!! Pinku-chan also enjoys riding on me! Pecan ah ma is too wriggly for her.  Plus, my fat sturdy body is also great for Pinku-chan to rest on! We had a ball chasing her around the house.  It’s a pity that she is a little fragile and Mummy has to keep it away at times to prevent us for pulling a leg or two out. Thanks Auntie JY for our new toy pet!!

Remember we mentioned something exciting about our new ride? Guess what, yes, we finally have our very own personalized doggie car!  Well, actually, we have had it for about one month now. It’s just that our lazy Mummy has been really slow in updating this.  *Tsk tsk tsk* Anyway, introducing… Gin! Gin is a 2007 Toyota Rush! Being rather tight on budget, our parents settled for a preloved car (We are his third and last owner). While silver isn’t exactly the color of Mummy’s choice, beggars can’t be choosers ma. There weren’t any white ones around, so here we got stuck with Gin! But again, me and Pecan ah ma really don’t give a shit care as long as there is something to bring us places. Our parents initially wanted a Honda Jazz/Fit. But came to realize that it isn’t exactly value for money.  Instead, they settled for Gin for one simple reason. THIS. I was still wondering if there was any special occasion today as we started the day a little differently.  Our usual weekday morning routine includes Mummy dragging herself out of the bed. Then she drags me out of bed. She brings us for a quick pee and loads us into the car. She’ll then drive to Grandmummy’s place, drop us off and head to work. And we will spend the rest of the day rotting away. But it was different today.  First, we got to sleep in late. Then, Mummy brought us for a nice long walk in the morning. We came back for a yummy brekkie and Mummy even gave us some of her sausage bun. And, the best part of all, we went swimming~  Wheeeeee~ All on a weekday! Of course, just when I was wondering if it is my birthday again or something like that, I started to realize what was going on. Yap, a grooming session that is. I’m not a big fan of grooming.  And thankfully, it happens only once …

Couch Potatoes~

While our parents are far from being workaholics (Daddy is way closer than our lazy mummy), it’s not everyday where the whole family gets home before the sun sets and just do nothing but watch TV. Lucky for us, today is one such awesome day! Daddy loves the cooling floor and would usually choose a spot between the couch and dining table where he gets the chance to work on his war hammies while watching the show. Mummy, of course, claims the full couch. As for us? We drag our daybed to the front of the couch and place it right in front of the TV! Definitely the best spot in the house.  Can you guess what we are watching from the reflection? Hehe… Actually, our parents are closet ‘Wheel of Fortune’ junkies! We are happy campers! Looking forward to more movie nights!

Mummy’s Nth Shopping Spreeeee~

Huge parcels arrived at our doorsteps today. And judging by past experiences, there must be something awesome inside for us. We put on our best behaviour for the night and waited impatiently for our surprises… And after dinner, our gifts unfold one after another. It started off with something kinda blah… Yet another Kurgo seat protector. We already had the khaki one, but Mummy wanted to get one for our own ride. Boring~ Next please. Mummy’s next purchase was a Canine Friendly Pet First Aid Kit! Not only does it come in a nice and compact packaging, it is equipped with items we need in case of an emergency. There’s a First aid instruction manual as well! In fact, Daddy the medic was pretty impressed and commented that our first aid kit is even more comprehensive than the human ones they have at home. #thingscrazymumsbuy Thankfully those were the only crappy items since they were of very little value to us. Best of all, the rest of the purchase were rather amazing! A purchase for us …

Cartoon Pecan!

Pecan’s portrait finally made its way from my homeland (USA) to Singapore! And Mummy was really delighted to see it! The proud ah-ma showing off her cartoon version! Of course I cannot lose,  so here’s a photo of adorable me and my even more adorable cartoon portrait. hmph~ Ain’t we cute? Somehow ah-ma decides that her best angle is her right profile.  I don’t quite agree but she wasn’t very receptive to my suggestion.  Anyway, as promised, Mummy went ahead and made magnets using ah ma’s drawing. So, here’s her and her magnets and a distracting strand of hair belonging to Daddy on the floor.  #mummyneedstosweepmoreoften Spot us on the fridge! Mummy’s planning to frame our portraits together and hang them on the wall. Can’t wait to see the outcome!

Jager and I!

One of my favourite friends in Singapore is…  JAGER!!! I’m so fond of him that I would run up to him and shower him with kisses the moment we meet. And of course, roll over my back too. In fact, we play so much that our parents kept joking that we are a couple! One of my little known quirks is that I’ve a tendency to snap at bigger dogs who step on me accidentally.  But somehow, Jager, despite being almost four times my size, is such a gentle giant that Mummy never once had to worry that we would end up in a squabble. Although we have known each other for almost a year now, this is probably the first few good photos of us! Hehe, stupid Mummy actually said that we looked like we are shooting our bridal shots (Jager is the groom in tux while I’m the bride in white).  Like wtf… 

It’s a Doggie Pool Party!

Mummy chipped in with Auntie Charmaine (aka my mother-in-law) and bought us a… PADDLE POOL! It’s actually meant for kids but it works great for dogs too!  *Wriggly dance* Auntie Charmaine had wanted to get one for her boys, Snowy the Golden Retriever and Jager the Alusky! So, Mummy, thinking that it was a brilliant idea, decided to share the cost. Plus, Auntie Charmaine has a lovely front garden that had ample space for the pool! It certainly reminded me of the good old NYC dog park days where we got a lovely dog pool each summer to combat the heat! Hence, I was wayyy over the moon when Mummy told me what was happening! Auntie C, ya the best! Let’s get the party started!! It took the adults about ten minutes to assemble it and probably another ten to fill the pool.  Pecan ah ma was the first to realise what was going on and certainly couldn’t hide her excitement.
