Couch Potatoes~

While our parents are far from being workaholics (Daddy is way closer than our lazy mummy), it’s not everyday where the whole family gets home before the sun sets and just do nothing but watch TV. Lucky for us, today is one such awesome day! Daddy loves the cooling floor and would usually choose a spot between the couch and dining table where he gets the chance to work on his war hammies while watching the show. Mummy, of course, claims the full couch. As for us? We drag our daybed to the front of the couch and place it right in front of the TV! Definitely the best spot in the house.  Can you guess what we are watching from the reflection? Hehe… Actually, our parents are closet ‘Wheel of Fortune’ junkies! We are happy campers! Looking forward to more movie nights!

Mummy’s Nth Shopping Spreeeee~

Huge parcels arrived at our doorsteps today. And judging by past experiences, there must be something awesome inside for us. We put on our best behaviour for the night and waited impatiently for our surprises… And after dinner, our gifts unfold one after another. It started off with something kinda blah… Yet another Kurgo seat protector. We already had the khaki one, but Mummy wanted to get one for our own ride. Boring~ Next please. Mummy’s next purchase was a Canine Friendly Pet First Aid Kit! Not only does it come in a nice and compact packaging, it is equipped with items we need in case of an emergency. There’s a First aid instruction manual as well! In fact, Daddy the medic was pretty impressed and commented that our first aid kit is even more comprehensive than the human ones they have at home. #thingscrazymumsbuy Thankfully those were the only crappy items since they were of very little value to us. Best of all, the rest of the purchase were rather amazing! A purchase for us …

Cartoon Pecan!

Pecan’s portrait finally made its way from my homeland (USA) to Singapore! And Mummy was really delighted to see it! The proud ah-ma showing off her cartoon version! Of course I cannot lose,  so here’s a photo of adorable me and my even more adorable cartoon portrait. hmph~ Ain’t we cute? Somehow ah-ma decides that her best angle is her right profile.  I don’t quite agree but she wasn’t very receptive to my suggestion.  Anyway, as promised, Mummy went ahead and made magnets using ah ma’s drawing. So, here’s her and her magnets and a distracting strand of hair belonging to Daddy on the floor.  #mummyneedstosweepmoreoften Spot us on the fridge! Mummy’s planning to frame our portraits together and hang them on the wall. Can’t wait to see the outcome!

It’s a Doggie Pool Party!

Mummy chipped in with Auntie Charmaine (aka my mother-in-law) and bought us a… PADDLE POOL! It’s actually meant for kids but it works great for dogs too!  *Wriggly dance* Auntie Charmaine had wanted to get one for her boys, Snowy the Golden Retriever and Jager the Alusky! So, Mummy, thinking that it was a brilliant idea, decided to share the cost. Plus, Auntie Charmaine has a lovely front garden that had ample space for the pool! It certainly reminded me of the good old NYC dog park days where we got a lovely dog pool each summer to combat the heat! Hence, I was wayyy over the moon when Mummy told me what was happening! Auntie C, ya the best! Let’s get the party started!! It took the adults about ten minutes to assemble it and probably another ten to fill the pool.  Pecan ah ma was the first to realise what was going on and certainly couldn’t hide her excitement. In fact, she was so excited about it then she happily hopped in even …

Our Green hike at the Green Corridor

For the first time in a very very blue moon, Mummy decided that she wanted to go for a hike with us. And of course, Daddy could not say no.  Hence, on a very bright Saturday morning, she woke up and dragged two sleepy dogs and one very sianz husband out of the house at 8.30am! (SHE NEVER WAKES UP BEFORE TEN ON SATURDAYS! THIS IS A MIRACLE)  Our destination was none other than Green Corridor! Mummy had heard great things about it from other dog owners and finally decided to explore the place for herself! The Green Corridor used to be a railway land connecting Singapore and Malaysia. After the train stations were relocated, the railway line began defunct. While plans on what to do with the space is still underway, in the meantime, it has been converted into an awesome cycling and pedestrian path connecting many green spaces together!  For a start, we decided to challenge the Bukit Timah Train Station-Holland Road stretch of the Green Corridor. We got Grandmummy to drop us off at Holland Road …

A treat for the dogs!!

While Mummy was at work, a nice lady came and brought Pecan ah ma out.  The nice lady was actually none other than Pecan’s other Mum – the one who loved her and doted on her for the first nine years of her life! (Of cos she still does!) And when they returned a good few hours later, ah ma came back with a whole bag of goodies!!!!! Pecan was very eager to show Mummy what she brought back! After all the anticipation (we were staring at it all evening and nearly couldn’t resist the temptation), we finally got around to opening the loot! And we found….dog toys (STUFFIES!), apparels, supplements and, most importantly, DOG TREATS!! *wriggly dance* Pecan was super excited about it.. ME?  I was kinda worried that she isn’t gonna share her awesome stash with me!  But being the sweetheart she always is… *cough cough* She said okay! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE~ Ah ma is da best! We started off by sharing the toys.  I got the cupcake (how manly..-_-) and she got the ice …

Our Birthday Treat – Pet Cruise

Our birthday came in three parts this year.  The awesome cake was just the icing. The second highlight of our special day was a…. PET CRUISE!  I mean..why not? Since both Pecan ah ma and myself are such huge fans of the water, Mummy thought it would be apt to bring us on a cruise out into the sea! How cool is that!! *Wriggly dance* Each dog is considered a passenger and the maximum capacity of the boat is ten. Any group with four or more is required to book the whole cruise.  Since there are four of us in total, we ended up having the whole boat to ourselves!  Mummy did invite a few friends to join us. Unfortunately, due to her extreme lack of communication (okay la, to her credit, she had been working late nights for the whole week prior to the cruise), none of her friends turned up. Boooo~ no give me face.  PUI. But it worked out great as that meant that we had more space to roam around!  Plus, …

Aftermath of CNY..

Who knew house visiting is this tiring!  We were dead tired after giving our parents’ relatives our million dollar smiles and begging faces. We clearly won’t expecting ang bao collecting to be so exhausting! Thus, we were extremely relieved to be given a nice long break today!!   I’m lying like a dead dog while Pecan ah ma is just happy stoning.. But looking at our stash and dreaming about the amount of treats that can buy, we are more than willing to do it again anytime!

Our CNY treat!

As per our new tradition, the dogs will get a dog-friendly replicate of a festive human meal!  We were extra looking forward to what yummy treat we were going to get this Lunar New Year. Seeing what a huge Yusheng fan Mummy is, we were actually a little worried that she is going to just serve us shedded raw veggies.  BUT….. lucky for us, she got lazy and instead of whipping something up for us, she decided to order one from a dog bakery! So, she went ahead and ordered a special something from Superdog Kitchen  for us! We were super excited when she told us it had arrived! Me checking out the mystery package… that was none other than a CNY Bak Kwa Tart!!! Knowing that I am a huge Bak Kwa fan, Mummy knew I would absolutely love this tart. And she was so right!! I had my first taste of Bak Kwa last CNY when Granddaddy decided to sneak me some. I was an instant convert. Needless to say, Mummy was really upset with Granddaddy as she …

The best part of Chinese New Year is…

collecting ANG BAOS!!!! And when our begging powers combined, our stash of red packets doubled!! Wheeee…thank you to all the awesome Aunties and Uncles! Now we just have to get our parents to bring us to the pet store to stock up on our favourite treats with the ang bao money!! But our job is not done! (There’s still 13 more days to the end of the lunar new year.) So,  More ang baos please!
