Pecan’s birthday present – Furry Photos shoot

You may have been wondering why Pecan didn’t have a birthday present reveal like we usually do. It’s not because our parents got all stingy and decide to scrimp on it. #Ithinkdaddysecretlywantedtodothat #mummywon’tallowonelor It’s because it took a while for the end product to be out. #goodthingsareworththewait Yap, you may have guessed it right.. Granted, I wasn’t exactly pleased the day Mummy brought you home. #didnothelpthatyoupinnedmedownthemomentoureyesmet In fact, I probably sulked for the next couple of months.  After all, you did continue whack me countless times. #Iamnotawuss #Iamjustbeingnicetoanoldlady BUT I am glad we made peace. I guess it became quite clear to me that… 2 dogs = x2 treats 2 dogs = x2 birthday cakes 2 dogs = x2 Daddy’s shiok massages 2 dogs = x2 outings So, yap, welcome to the family! #samisverythepracticalone Thanks for being my partner in crime…. in ganging up with me on other dogs (HEHEHEHE!), in extorting our parents for more food,  in barking symphonies, especially at the pool, Thanks to you, I can manage being home alone a bit better. Day at the beach!

It’s been a while since we shared photos of us having fun outdoors. So she decided to bring her camera along on our day out at Tanjong beach. Wheeeeee…. It’s a small doggie party! Yap, Juosta and Maneul from the Wooga gang came along too! #actuallyistheyinviteusone Oh and we met Li Bai the Spitz. #hisnamecrackedmummyup “Mummy, I hope you remember to bring my toy.” #addictedtorescuemissions Of course she did! Wondering where my usual helpless Monkey is? Well, Mummy, being the cheapo and lazy person she is, is against bringing the monkey to the beach. It’s too expensive to be swept away (when I give up) she says. More importantly, she doesn’t want to get wet to reclaim it. #whogoestothebeachanddontwanttogetwetone #sheisweird So instead, she got me addicted to the donut toy! Works either way. DIY time: Dog-friendly Peanut Butter!

Mummy has wayyyy too much time on her hands these days. So, she decided to DIY more items for us! #heywearenotcomplaining Pecan’s wondering what’s on the menu today. #ahmathephotobomber Sniffing out the ingredients as we make a wild guess. #aiyathetitlealreadygivetheanswerawayliao Yaps, we’re making Dog-friendly Peanut Butter today! Yums! Mummy used to give us store-bought peanut butter. However, it can get a bit tricky choosing the right one as many of them contain unhealthy preservatives (especially xylitol) that can be harmful to dogs. So what’s the best solution for someone who has too much time on her hands – DO IT YOURSELF! #ourtummiesagreefully “Can we apply it to our favourite donut toy too?” #pecan’sstupidityisrubbingoffme #thisisaBADsign Mummy found a recipe online and modified it a tad. She added our favourite coconut oil to boost the taste and of course, for added benefits too. #ourtummiesagreeagain The process is as straightforward as it looks.  Simply put all the ingredients in a blender and blend and blend and blend and blend. Our Yacht charter!

It was a long weekend and with long weekends come exciting plans! This time, we were heading out to a fun day at sea! Yap, Auntie J chartered a yacht for the whole extended family (thirteen two-legged ones and three four-legged ones)! We gathered at Sentosa Cove and waited excitedly for our adventure to begin! #tryingtolivetheataslife #thisiswhatourdaddycanafford It was a tad hot and pretty soon, we were both showing our ‘Asian’ eyes, no thanks to the glaring sun. #whyyoutakephotoalwayssoslowone #ourmummysucks We met up with Captain and he led us to the yacht. Pecan ah ma is taking her pick of which yacht she fancies. Of course, Mummy said no to everything she picked. Ageing ah ma

As much as we would like to maintain that Pecan is forever young, we have to acknowledge that ah ma is indeed, ageing. #dengdengdengdeng #yalafinallyadmitsheisOLD Maybe not her craziness spirit, but her body. We started noticing that Pecan was shaking and trembling randomly at times over the last couple of days and that got Mummy worried. So off to the vet she went. And we came back with a diagnosis that Pecan ah ma is… Arthritic. #seelatoldyousheisoldliao #sosadhor #nowIamabitworried While this (relatively) genki ah ma is probably not quite close to going six-feet-under (fingers crossed!), her body is struggling to keep up. #ahmacannotbelieveiteither There isn’t much we can do right now except to manage her condition. On a good note, her pain episodes were not extremely frequent and her mobility isn’t too affected as of now. X’mas is just around the corner and it’s the season to pamper yourself! December is possibly one of our favourite months of the year. (We love Jan, August, Sep too!) Because… Christmas is around the corner! Woohoo~ #wewelcomeallsortsofchristmaspresent #pleasesendthemourway Awesome mummy decided to kickstart celebrations a tad early by getting us Advent Calendars from Barking Good! #dontaskmewhatanadventcalendaris #thisismyfirsttimehearingaboutit #butgotfoodwhocares Thank you Auntie Dionne for delivering them to our doorsteps. #wepaidherwithtailwags Most of our stuff are in storage, hence, the pathetic setup.  #lifesuckslivingoutofsuitcases Anyway, we did what most people would do and googled the term “advent calendar”. Turns out that it’s a special calendar to count the days in anticipation to X’mas! Happy 12th Birthday Ah ma!

September 14 2015 was a special day. It was the day that the ancient one (aka Pecan ah ma) turned TWELVE. #omg #whatahugenumber #icanonlycounttoten As usual, birthdays in the Loo Lim Household are a big thing. Well, kinda, only if you’re the beloved furkids. The parents get zilch celebration. #spoiltbrats So, it was party mood all week! I’ve been handstripped before and was supposed to be quite accustomed to it.  However, it was Pecan’s virgin handstripping.
