Mummy is very particular about our day-to-day hygiene and health. One thing that she takes pride in, is how she manages to brush our pearly whites. Not just that.  She does it EVERYDAY. Religiously. #sheprobablywishesthatwecanbrushitourselves #sorrywedonothaveopposablethumbs PS: Ah ma got stinky breath, so I sit far far away. I started brushing my teeth when I was just a two month old puppy. Mummy loves me to the moon and back and would never push me away no matter what I do. Well, almost.  There is just one tiny little thing that will send her running away (and also pretty much empty the room in seconds) – my fart bombs. #yapIamsamthefartingmachine #myfartsarepotent #sorrynotsorry So when Uncle ZK from Platinum Pets dropped us a message to find out if we were keen to give Ewegurt a shot, Mummy jumped at it without any hesitation. #anythingthatcanresolvethewaytoofrequentfartbombsplease Mummy has been giving us yoghurt as an occasional treat for a while now.  While Pecan ah ma does great on it, the store bought yoghurt results in runny poops and (to mummy’s horror) added potency to my ‘almost-fatal’ bombs.  #Isecretlylikethatactually So, Mummy was keeping her fingers crossed that Ewegurt would do the opposite – help settle my sensitive tummy while providing probotics to help with my digestion. #butIlikemyfartbombsleh We were quite surprised when the packaging arrived. It’s no secret that Jack Russells require a crazy amount tons of stimulation to keep these terrors out of trouble.  That’s pretty accurate for the case of me and Pecan ah ma. #memorethanherofcourse #seeourinnocentface  To keep us out of trouble (well, me mostly), Mummy invested in a huge variety of chews.  From rawhide (yucks, we no like), bully sticks (smelly and yummy), antlers (which was a total fail – it was so hard that I didn’t give a hoot about it), you name it, we probably would have done a taste test on it. #wewonderhowourbelliescantahanalltherubbishmummyfeedsus #nocomplaintsthough #nowonderdaddypocketisquiteempty Honestly, we had way more options when we were still in New York.  Once we moved back, Mummy noticed that it was rather challenging for her to find decent chews for us.  Well, of course until we chanced upon… Chew Time! Our ‘Reunion’ Dinner!

Lunar New Year is just around the corner. Unfortunately for us, we won’t be able to tag along for our parents’ reunion dinner. Don’t feel too sorry for us, because Mummy already made up for it! #mummyreallyisdabest To satisfy our little tummies, Mummy went ahead and ordered a Superdog Kitchen’s Chinese New Year special for us! Hehe, of cos we must dress up for the meal – featuring our Monkey Bandanas from Loyal.D! Sniffing and checking out the goodies in store for us. Ta-dah~ it was the Ong-Lai-Loh! Because Mummy’s lousy photography skills cannot do Ong-Lai Loh justice, here’s how gorgeous it really is! In case you’re wondering, it smelt and tasted every bit as good as it looked. I turned SIX – my second celebration!

And my celebration continues. This time, with the second most important *cough* lady *cough* in my life. #ohmancannotbelieveIhadtosaythat For starters, we turned up for my party dressed to the nines in our new Crew La La collars. Mummy is damn ridiculous la.  When she was shopping for the collars, she was worried that the bows would get lost in our shaggy coats. Hence she decided to opt for the bigger design. Well done lor.  #nowwelookstupid #thebowisasbigasmyface Oh well, at least you can’t miss it for now. Thankfully, the bows are detachable. #phew For once, Mummy really planned ahead for my birthday this year.  #sheusuallyisverylastminuteone She actually ordered personalised bunting just for us since October last year. #wahsotouchedleh This is from ms.emmeline.pets. Well, if you think my birthday is just over like that, you are so so so wrong. #dontforgetmummyisobsessedwithmelor #mybirthdayisahugethinghor Lucky for me, the actual day fell on a school day! (I go to dog school at Puppy Colours every tuesday.) School started off as per normal. And that means hanging out with my classmates and getting into trouble . #happyfacesallaround After all the fun and learning, it was the best part of the day –  My birthday Celebration. Mummy ordered a rainbow cake from The Barkery.  #mummyisdabest #nowallmyclassmatesknowhowoldIam #iamyoungatheart While I am usually a red meat eater, Mummy decided to go for a lighter flavour and chose fish instead. Our X’mas countdown

December is possibly one of our favourite months of the year. (We love Jan, August, Sep too!) Because… Christmas is around the corner! Woohoo~ #wewelcomeallsortsofchristmaspresent #pleasesendthemourway Awesome mummy decided to kickstart celebrations a tad early by getting us Advent Calendars from Barking Good! #dontaskmewhatanadventcalendaris #thisismyfirsttimehearingaboutit #butgotfoodwhocares Thank you Auntie Dionne for delivering them to our doorsteps. #wepaidherwithtailwags Most of our stuff are in storage, hence, the pathetic setup.  #lifesuckslivingoutofsuitcases Anyway, we did what most people would do and googled the term “advent calendar”. Turns out that it’s a special calendar to count the days in anticipation to X’mas! Dog-friendly Smoothie

We’re dying from the heat. #whysohot #twodeaddogslyingonthefloor After seeing how lethargic we are, she decided to whip up some smoothie! #mummyisdabest #weapprove #tonguesofapproval Our dog-friendly Mango-Strawberry Smoothie! Here’s what we need: One whole mango (cut into cubes and toss the pit away) A box of strawberry (Freeze it overnight to make the smoothie ice-cold when served) A cup of plain yoghurt One teaspoon of honey (optional, especially if your mango isn’t ripe enough) Did you know? Mangoes are actually good for dogs (source)! But be careful to keep the pit away from us and feed in moderation. #yummyfoodthatisdogfriendlyisdabest What to do: Simply toss everything into a blender and blend blend BLEND. #easybreezy Giving the sniff test. #pecandoesnotcare #shejustwantstodrink #samthefaketastetester Off we went! It’s been a while since Mummy made us something. So, she decided to whip a yummy dessert to combat the heat! It’s none other than… Blueberry Ice Cream for dogs! #mummycannotplateforherlife #ittastedbetterthanitlooked #mummypretendingtobeadessertchef #failla It was a real simple fix and required only a handful of ingredients. What you need: 2 cups of plain/greek yoghurt 1 box of fresh blueberries 1 teaspoon of honey 1 piece of dehydrated pork/beef/chicken jerky Checking out the ingredients and giving it our sniff of approval. As neither me and Pecan ah ma are fans of fruits, Mummy decided to incorporate some blueberries to trick us into eating them.  Besides having antioxidants, they can also help with cognitive functions for older dogs. #senileahmaneedstoeattonsofblueberries #sucksthatwegotoutsmartbymummy What to do: 1. Puree the blueberries using a blender (Do set aside some as garnish) 2. Using a mixer, mix the yoghurt and honey together.  3. Add the pureed blueberries and mix thoroughly. 4. Yap, it’s the time of the year once again. Little Sammy has grown one year wiser. To celebrate my bark day this year, Mummy decided to gift me not one, not two, but FIVE pressies (one for each year of my life!)!!! Now, we are in the right party mood~ Woohoo~ Bring the presents on!!!!!! A customised Birthday Cake from Pawlicious Bakery! There’s no birthday without a birthday cake! Hehe, since we had their signature fondant figurines for our Barkday last year (fyi: the figurines are still intact and sitting around in the house!), we decided to change things up a little.
