Sam’s Pick: Online Shopping with Kohepets

The kind people from Kohepets dropped us an email asking if we were keen to do a sponsored review about our experience shopping with them. Instantly, our shopaholic sides came right through. #weinherititfromMummyone YES,we said! Pecan ah ma and myself were extremely excited and both of us took some time, sat down and to come up with our shopping list. #tookoursolongcan #thinkingistiring We showed Mummy our shopping list and she burst into laughter. #gotsofunnymeh #seriousbusinessleh Oh well. After laughing for way too long, Mummy gave us the green light to go ahead and even helped us set up her lappie. #meandomummy With our shopping list in mind, we embarked on our very own online shopping spree. Hehe, I was kinda pleased that I had control of the mouse. #ihavethefinalbarknow #pecanhastolistentome #youdonotneedopposablethumbstoshop Concentration time… We love how accessible Kohepets’ website is.  The products are very well categorised and we were able to nagivate through the site easily. Since we’re raw-fed dogs, we were very specific in the types of treats we wanted.  Everything was listed clearly …

Going Raw Rawr

We have been on a raw diet for the past few years. While we started mainly on commercial raw food, Mummy made the transition towards DIY raw over the last couple of months. For now, Mummy will purchase our proteins from the supermarket and that does restrict the types we eat. (We usually rotate between lamb, beef and chicken.) But thanks to Howlistic Life, we get to have a taste of Venison at affordable prices! #yeahforourcheapomummy Raw Rawr is made of free range, grass fed Venison from New Zealand. Not only does it include meat and heart, it also contains offals. #soconvenientcan The pre-packed portions are extremely easy to thaw (takes no more than twenty minutes) and really convenient to feed. Each portion weighs 50g and both me and Pecan gets two per day! #aperfectfitforlazymummy To ensure that our diet is balanced, Mummy does include supplements too. Here’s what we get: Protein that changes from day-to-day.  Hoki oil for me and Omega-i for Pecan (from Wooga).  Eon and Fiber blend (Howlistic Life) to meet our …

DIY TIME: Pill Pockets

I came down with a small bout of infection on my front paws. (No thanks to my itchy mouth) #cannotstoplicking A quick visit to the worst place on Earth vet and here we are, a grumpy-emo dog who is pouting about the meds he has to eat and a gloating ah ma. #howcomeIneedsomuchmedsone #canPecaneatthemonmybehalf Medication time is a TORTURE. Both to me and Mummy. Mummy: “Come Sam, time for your meds.” Nope. Not happening. At all. #sheiscrazytothinkIwilleatthemedsjustlikethatlor #eventhegreedyahmaalsowon’tfallforit #sheseemenoup There are a few ways to get those disgusting pills down my throat. For the morning dose, Mummy will painstakingly cut the meds into small sizes and hide them in my food. #sometimesIfallforthis #sometimesIdon’t However, I get fed only once a day. Needless to say, the evening dose is wayyy trickier. She will either shove it down (I HATE MUMMY), or dissolve it into a liquid and feed me using a syringe. Either way, it ain’t pretty. #mymummyabuseme #mylifesucks When we were in the States, there was a really easy alternative – Greenies Pill pockets! However, …

DIY time: Dog-friendly Peanut Butter!

Mummy has wayyyy too much time on her hands these days. So, she decided to DIY more items for us! #heywearenotcomplaining Pecan’s wondering what’s on the menu today. #ahmathephotobomber Sniffing out the ingredients as we make a wild guess. #aiyathetitlealreadygivetheanswerawayliao Yaps, we’re making Dog-friendly Peanut Butter today! Yums! Mummy used to give us store-bought peanut butter. However, it can get a bit tricky choosing the right one as many of them contain unhealthy preservatives (especially xylitol) that can be harmful to dogs. So what’s the best solution for someone who has too much time on her hands – DO IT YOURSELF! #ourtummiesagreefully “Can we apply it to our favourite donut toy too?” #pecan’sstupidityisrubbingoffme #thisisaBADsign Mummy found a recipe online and modified it a tad. She added our favourite coconut oil to boost the taste and of course, for added benefits too. #ourtummiesagreeagain The process is as straightforward as it looks.  Simply put all the ingredients in a blender and blend and blend and blend and blend. And Wa-la~ you get yummy peanut butter! Our stupid …
