Donut’s replicas

So, Pecan ah ma finally misplaced Donut. WAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA…. (oops… cannot appear so evil…) Ahem, I mean awwwwww~ And she was walking around aimlessly for a few days. Of course, Mummy was as upset about the missing toy as ah ma was.  Hence, it was not at all surprising when Mummy came back with not one, but two Donut replicas! O.M.G. I wasn’t too impressed in befriending ah ma’s new friends until Mummy told me some great news.. Yap, one of them is for me! Wheeeeeeeeeeee~ I initially chose the green one. But of course, Pecan decides that the grass is greener on the other side and headed for mine instead. Oh well, no point fighting with crazy old ladies.  So I happily picked up the brown one and headed to my little corner to enjoy gnawing on it. Was having a great time….  until… the ah ma decides that she wants my spot too. AHhhhhhhhhhhhh…. As usual, after Mummy had a good laugh at my plight, she slowly lured ah ma away and I had …

Behind the scenes…

What can I say, we are certainly two very photogenic pooches. #bhb Of course, while the images that made it to the blog were carefully selected (Mummy has to make sure that they always portray the best of us), it’s what goes on behind the scenes that never fails to crack her up. Even if it’s at my expense. sigh~ We usually start with a normal shot. Before ah ma decides that it’s fun to creep closer… And closer.  Nope. In case you thought that I jumped off the shot, look closer. Yap, Pecan thought that it was fun to not only steal my limelight, but to step all over me instead. Of course, I wouldn’t take it lying down. As soon as the two shots were snapped, I fought back. RAWRRRRRR~ After she enjoyed a good long laugh, Mummy stepped in (while still giggling!!) to console me and with tons a fair amount of treats, I decided to hop back on the chair to give Mummy one final shot. Ah ma is clearly my …

Sam’s Pick: A Dog’s Life Salon

Dearest Mummy took an off day on a lovely weekday last week.  And we were overjoyed to be able to sleep in on a Tuesday and were anticipating that we would be going somewhere fun with Mummy for the entire day. Just when we couldn’t wait to find out what’s up next, we sensed that something was not right as Mummy wouldn’t stop making us pose in various positions. (And that felt awfully familiar) And that rang a bell…. *den den den den* Nooooooooooo~ Yap, we were 101% right. Our little bubble burst.  #resigned #mylifesucks #mummyishorrible Well, in a way, Mummy did surprise us a little.  Instead of our usual salon, she brought us to A dog’s life pet salon that is located at Tiong Bahru.  So atas~ Now we are officially hipster dogs too! When we saw the exterior, we definitely had to give it a paws up for its decor!  Who wouldn’t love a “Dog Parking’ section outside a store? In fact, it’s brilliant! Except that we can’t park ah ma there.  She will …

Things grown ups do – Doodle at work…

Mummy has a bimonthly deadline at work: which means that she is a walking dead for about a week every two months.  (Yap, that also means we are stuck with Daddy while Mummy works late. No likey~) I always thought that she was slogging her arse off at work creating great works (with us as inspiration) like this. Until I borrowed her phone to look through her photos on a whim and saw this…. Say what~~~ Yap, apparently stupid Mummy doodles at work… at my expense! #howcanlikethat #ilooklikeaperverteduncle I mean, at least draw me to look more handsome ma. Tsk tsk tsk… I was not the least happy.  #notimpressed On the other hand, Pecan ah ma was very tickled. Of course la, they didn’t draw on your face ma!!! Pui~ Thankfully, her colleagues were wayyyy sweeter and their doodles were so much more flattering. Like this… #samisaking And this.. #Samtheangel (But hor, the one on the left looks like banana leaves…) Well, at least she gave me some treats to pacify me. K la, forgive …

Pecan’s BFF!

Pecan ah ma has a new best friend.  And it isn’t me! *Hengs man~* #phew #NEVERFELTSORELIEVED Can you imagine me having to engage in some granny talk with the grumpy old lady?!  (Like which veggie is the freshest, why are my boobs sagging.) OMG.  *Shrugs* Thankfully, I am NOT her best friend.  Her new best friend… is actually.. DONUT! Yap. It was the toy that Mummy bought ah ma to cheer her up during her recovery. While Mummy knew Pecan loves squeaky toys, she certainly wasn’t expecting ah ma’s obsession to her new Ferplast toy. In fact, obsession is an understatement man.  Pecan ah ma is literally glued to Donut. And everywhere ah ma goes, Donut follows.  That includes our daily walks.  She just has to bring Donut EVERYWHERE! Ah ma also refuses to let it go at all times during the walk. Not even when she’s peeing!!!! How can you pee with something in your mouth?!?!!? #unbelievable The truth is.. it’s a little paiseh (embarrassing) for me. Since Ah ma started bringing Donut for …

It’s time for a celebration!!!!

Nope…  It’s not our birthdays.. It’s just that Mummy received news that allowed her to finally heave a sigh of relief.. Yap.  Pecan’s biopsy came back clear!  So in other words, this feisty ah ma is here to stay!!!!! That also means I’ll be stuck with her for a while more… NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~

Ah ma’s recovery

When Mummy first adopted Pecan, this crazy feisty ah ma’s energy was higher than mine. She even did better than me on her health checkup and blood test. (I failed my blood test twice due to high protein levels, aka eat too much.) For a while, Mummy thought that she adopted a ten-month-old rascal and not a decade old granny. Seeing how healthy and hyper ah ma is, I was quite resigned that I will be stuck with her for a long long time. (NOoooooooo) The only problem was that she was not sterilized. After taking ah ma’s age into consideration (plus, I’m neutered), Mummy decided to let it be and not let ah ma undergo the surgery for that. Little did she know that this will come back to haunt her.  *Den den den den* (Movie dramatic entrance) Basically, Mummy noticed that ah ma’s vulva was exceptionally swollen. While she thought that ah ma was in heat when we first got her, it remained swollen even after six months. Sensing that something was not …

Sam’s Pick – Feed My Paws Treats~

When Auntie Crystle from Feed My Paws dropped us an email asking if we were keen to review her handmade treats, we just couldn’t say no! I mean, who in the right mind would say no to anything edible?! Not us for sure… She was really awesome and asked us to pick whatever we wanted. So, we spent the entire evening glancing through the website (drooling while doing so) and pointed at EVERY SINGLE ITEM. Seeing how greedy we were, Mummy sighed and proceeded to let Auntie Crystle decide what she wants us to try. Booooooooooo~ Mummy sucks! As we don’t have any allergies and would eat anything that comes our way, Auntie Crystle offered to let us sample some of her bestsellers. (Fret not if you suffer from any food allergies as you can customize your very own treats using ingredients that you can eat!) And when the treats arrived at home, we could not believe our eyes! There were so many yummy looking snacks JUST FOR US!!! *Wriggly dance* #soimpressed We were so …

Pecan’s little quirks….

We usually try to keep our blog posts light-hearted and cheery.  I mean, that’s pretty much how our lives are. But occasionally, there will be certain dog-related encounters that pisses Mummy off (but again, a lot of things pisses that lady off.) and get her really upset. One such incident happened during our night walk today and we just felt the need to mention it here…. For those who have met me and Mummy at doggy events (Thanks for saying hi!!!), one of the most common questions I get is: “Where’s Pecan ah ma?” Don’t let her cute (PUI~) little face deceive you.  Unlike me, Pecan ah ma is actually not dog-friendly, at all. While she is the sweetest little thing to humans (even to annoying kids), she cannot handle the sight of another dog.  Things weren’t easy from the start. Since bringing ah ma home with us, Mummy and Daddy had to deal with the endless little squabbles that happened between us which usually ended with me screaming like a girl. We fought at …
