Trick or Treat?

Halloween is right around the corner and we’re looking forward to our party! In the meantime, Mummy’s been cracking her brain on how to dress us up for the celebrations. #asusualsheissolastminute She whipped out Mr Pumpkin man – the one and only costume that we’ve been donning for the past 1 2 3 4 5 6 years – for a test shot. #soboringla #everyoneinthewholeworldhasalreadyseenuswearingthis  This is seriously overused. Sam’s house tour – our mudroom!

We’ve finally settled into our new place after a good three months! #ourparentshaveofficiallygivenuponunpacking #whatisleftintheboxwillforeverremaininthebox #wedonotcarecoswehaveallourtreatswithus So I guess it’s about time we offered you a house tour! Bit by bit k? #nochoicecosourhouseverysmall #donothavemuchtoshowtobehonest #sosadhor We shall start with our very own Mudroom! “No treats no pass” Well, technically, our place is so small, we don’t have a mudroom. #soundatasonly It’s more like an entryway la. Mummy always wanted a space to put all our barang barang and she even tried to incorporate it in our Senja flat previously. But since we only did a partial reno when we moved back from the states, there wasn’t much she could do at that time. #messieristheinthinghor #wegottoomanythingsla #notourfaulthor Hence, this was one thing she was very particular about when renovating the new place. The Itchy granny

Pecan has been scratching non-stop of late and that got Mummy slightly worried. While she was concerned, she wanted to KIV for the moment. Then, a couple of days ago, she noticed a bump on ah ma’s chest (the spot where Pecan couldn’t stop scratching). So, rather swiftly, a vet appointment was scheduled and off to the scary place ah ma went. #luckynotme #goodluckahma Turns out that the skin bump was probably environment-related. Bumps are never a good thing, especially on a senior dog. But thankfully (and quite grossly), Pecan’s persistent scratching did cause the bump to burst.  #yucks While the bump is gone (phew), it is now an exposed wound and prone to infection. With that, we went home with a cream and instructions to prevent her from scratching or irritating the stop further. #nowshehasabaldpatchonherchest #lol It’s amazing how Mummy can always find reasons for her shopaholic ways. Ageing ah ma

As much as we would like to maintain that Pecan is forever young, we have to acknowledge that ah ma is indeed, ageing. #dengdengdengdeng #yalafinallyadmitsheisOLD Maybe not her craziness spirit, but her body. We started noticing that Pecan was shaking and trembling randomly at times over the last couple of days and that got Mummy worried. So off to the vet she went. And we came back with a diagnosis that Pecan ah ma is… Arthritic. #seelatoldyousheisoldliao #sosadhor #nowIamabitworried While this (relatively) genki ah ma is probably not quite close to going six-feet-under (fingers crossed!), her body is struggling to keep up. #ahmacannotbelieveiteither There isn’t much we can do right now except to manage her condition. On a good note, her pain episodes were not extremely frequent and her mobility isn’t too affected as of now. We already warned you that Mummy is on a shopping spree this month. For Christmas she said. (Remember?) So after pampering herself with the Torus bowl, she coerced Daddy into getting her a Petzi Treat Cam. To check on us while she is at work she said. #morelikesatisfyherstalkingtendencies #poordaddyburnanotherholeinhispocket And without even waiting for Christmas, impatient Mummy got around to unwrapping her ‘present’. Tsk tsk tsk. Besides the Petzi camera, an extra simple instruction sheet (a bit too simple to be honest) and two packets of Milk-Bone treats for starters are also included! #sonicegiveustreats #welikeitalready Pecan ah ma thinks that she’s cuter than the Beagle. #nocomments The design of the Petzi is extremely simple and great for tech idiots like Mummy. All you have to do is remove the cover and pour treats into the hole. #pourMOREleh  The plug is an US two-headed plug, so an adapter is required.  Simply plug it in and follow the instructions for setup. Our X’mas countdown

December is possibly one of our favourite months of the year. (We love Jan, August, Sep too!) Because… Christmas is around the corner! Woohoo~ #wewelcomeallsortsofchristmaspresent #pleasesendthemourway Awesome mummy decided to kickstart celebrations a tad early by getting us Advent Calendars from Barking Good! #dontaskmewhatanadventcalendaris #thisismyfirsttimehearingaboutit #butgotfoodwhocares Thank you Auntie Dionne for delivering them to our doorsteps. #wepaidherwithtailwags Most of our stuff are in storage, hence, the pathetic setup.  #lifesuckslivingoutofsuitcases Anyway, we did what most people would do and googled the term “advent calendar”. Turns out that it’s a special calendar to count the days in anticipation to X’mas! And an awesome one is one that houses little gifts to be opened up each day! #theyshouldhaveafestivalattheendofeverymonthlor #whatanawesomecreation Gosh, why did we not learn about this awesome sh*t earlier??? We opened up the package and did a sniff test.  As well as a thorough count to make that Auntie Dionne didn’t shortchange us. Mummy has been so busy with work and falling sick that we’re starting to feel a tad neglected. Oh well, so me and Pecan decided to let our thoughts be heard with the help of a little illustration.. A recent visit to the vet confirmed Mummy’s fears… Pecan ah ma’s body isn’t quite keeping up. #sheis12yearsoldnot12monthsoldma  While it isn’t falling apart just yet, her joints are starting to display signs of stiffness. #abouttimela The vet advised Mummy to minimise Pecan’s climbing of stairs and unnecessary jumping. Plus, should she show any signs of tiredness or reluctance to walk when we’re out, we should allow her to rest. #idothatallthetimehowcomemummystillmakemewalk #lifenofair Other than that, we were also sent home with the first of many bottles of glucosamine. To be honest, Pecan is really an energetic ah ma and she is way more active than I am. #iamnotlazy #iamjustchill In addition, Mummy has done a couple of steps to keep her active and healthy.
