Just a couple of months more will mark the 4th year I am back in Singapore Yap, in case you’re new here (Hi welcome!) or can’t be bothered to scroll back to past entries (guilty~ like me..hehe), I am a New Yorker. Our Yacht charter!

It was a long weekend and with long weekends come exciting plans! This time, we were heading out to a fun day at sea! Yap, Auntie J chartered a yacht for the whole extended family (thirteen two-legged ones and three four-legged ones)! We gathered at Sentosa Cove and waited excitedly for our adventure to begin! #tryingtolivetheataslife #thisiswhatourdaddycanafford It was a tad hot and pretty soon, we were both showing our ‘Asian’ eyes, no thanks to the glaring sun. #whyyoutakephotoalwayssoslowone #ourmummysucks We met up with Captain and he led us to the yacht. Pecan ah ma is taking her pick of which yacht she fancies. Of course, Mummy said no to everything she picked. HAHAHAH #shethinkstoomuch Wondering where our yacht is.  #whysofar Finally, after what seemed like forever, we made it to.. our charter of the day – the Isaiah!  #atasliving Queuing up to get on board.  #spotthebacksideofourcousinRusty Mummy knew that the weather was gonna be really nasty (hot!). Ageing ah ma

As much as we would like to maintain that Pecan is forever young, we have to acknowledge that ah ma is indeed, ageing. #dengdengdengdeng #yalafinallyadmitsheisOLD Maybe not her craziness spirit, but her body. We started noticing that Pecan was shaking and trembling randomly at times over the last couple of days and that got Mummy worried. So off to the vet she went. And we came back with a diagnosis that Pecan ah ma is… Arthritic. #seelatoldyousheisoldliao #sosadhor #nowIamabitworried While this (relatively) genki ah ma is probably not quite close to going six-feet-under (fingers crossed!), her body is struggling to keep up. #ahmacannotbelieveiteither There isn’t much we can do right now except to manage her condition. On a good note, her pain episodes were not extremely frequent and her mobility isn’t too affected as of now. Oh, oh and, she is a walking weather forecast! #shewillshakebeforeitrains #butnotveryaccuratela #todaynevershakelor #thinkonthebrightsidema Besides pumping up her glucosamine intake and scheduling regular swims (which we’re already doing so), Mummy decided to opt for another alternative management treatment – Acupuncture.  #yamanthereisacupuncturefordogslor …

While lazy bums were still lazing in bed, these two early worms (one fat, one smelly) had already gotten a ton of exercise under their waistlines belts. #yapourlazymummyactuallymanagedtodragherbuttoutofbed #itwasamiracle Yap, this was how we spent our weekend – running around our favourite dog park, playing fetch. A ride in a beetle

We were invited by Volkswagen Singapore to take one of their cars for a test drive. Although our trusty Gin has been pretty reliable for the past year, Mummy was more than glad to ditch him for the weekend for a sleeker ride. #soheartlesshor Hence, there was no way we could even refuse the offer! #mummyisindeedcheapo We stopped by the showroom to pick up our ride and also took the opportunity to ‘mark’ our territory around the vicinity. HEHEHEHEHE #sorrynotsorry Our shallow Mummy was blown away the moment our ride drove up.  But to be honest, it was difficult not to be. Sam tested: Ohiyo Pets

We were very honoured to be invited by Auntie QY to test out a basic grooming session at Ohiyo Pets. And seriously, the invite couldn’t come at a better time.  We were a week away from our family photoshoot and cheapo Mummy was just about to groom us herself. #lifesaver  So, thank you Ohiyo Pets for this timely invitation!! #cannotimaginehowwewilllookifmummygroomedusherself #disasterevaded #phew “Oi, some privacy please?” #stupidmummy Opened in May this year, Ohiyo Pets is located at 3 South Buona Vista Road (around Pasir Panjang). While the decor isn’t overly elaborated, we definitely like how clean and neat the place is! #samandpecanapproved (Photo source: Ohiyo Pets) While the cleanliness of a grooming salon is an important factor, what matters even more to Mummy was that she got to stay throughout the grooming session.  In fact, it’s really something pet parents should do at each new grooming place!
