Sam’s Pick – Chew Time

It’s no secret that Jack Russells require a crazy amount tons of stimulation to keep these terrors out of trouble.  That’s pretty accurate for the case of me and Pecan ah ma. #memorethanherofcourse #seeourinnocentface  To keep us out of trouble (well, me mostly), Mummy invested in a huge variety of chews.  From rawhide (yucks, we no like), bully sticks (smelly and yummy), antlers (which was a total fail – it was so hard that I didn’t give a hoot about it), you name it, we probably would have done a taste test on it. #wewonderhowourbelliescantahanalltherubbishmummyfeedsus #nocomplaintsthough #nowonderdaddypocketisquiteempty Honestly, we had way more options when we were still in New York.  Once we moved back, Mummy noticed that it was rather challenging for her to find decent chews for us.  Well, of course until we chanced upon… Chew Time! Our Yacht charter!

It was a long weekend and with long weekends come exciting plans! This time, we were heading out to a fun day at sea! Yap, Auntie J chartered a yacht for the whole extended family (thirteen two-legged ones and three four-legged ones)! We gathered at Sentosa Cove and waited excitedly for our adventure to begin! #tryingtolivetheataslife #thisiswhatourdaddycanafford It was a tad hot and pretty soon, we were both showing our ‘Asian’ eyes, no thanks to the glaring sun. #whyyoutakephotoalwayssoslowone #ourmummysucks We met up with Captain and he led us to the yacht. Pecan ah ma is taking her pick of which yacht she fancies. Of course, Mummy said no to everything she picked. The Itchy granny

Pecan has been scratching non-stop of late and that got Mummy slightly worried. While she was concerned, she wanted to KIV for the moment. Then, a couple of days ago, she noticed a bump on ah ma’s chest (the spot where Pecan couldn’t stop scratching). So, rather swiftly, a vet appointment was scheduled and off to the scary place ah ma went. #luckynotme #goodluckahma Turns out that the skin bump was probably environment-related. Bumps are never a good thing, especially on a senior dog. But thankfully (and quite grossly), Pecan’s persistent scratching did cause the bump to burst.  #yucks While the bump is gone (phew), it is now an exposed wound and prone to infection. With that, we went home with a cream and instructions to prevent her from scratching or irritating the stop further. #nowshehasabaldpatchonherchest #lol It’s amazing how Mummy can always find reasons for her shopaholic ways. Well, nothing much actually.  Mummy was up to her neck in her work for the past month and would much rather catch up with her sleep than blog for us. #wehaveaterriblemummy So, for the Nth time, we apologise for the lack of posts no thanks to we-know-who. #pointsourpawsatmummy Thank you for not giving up on us! On a good note, things are finally moving for us! After a couple of months of deliberation and multiple (really disappointing) meetings with IDs, Mummy decided to take things in her own hands and decorate/design our new apartment herself. #dieliaola #surenodesignsenseone #lookhowmuchfaithwehaveinourmummy Regardless of how the place turns out to be (fingers/paws crossed), Pecan and I are really looking forward to just having our own space once again. Happy Lunar New Year!

Our Lunar New Year was pretty blah~ For starters, we’re still staying with Grandmummy as our new place is not yet already. Thus, we really couldn’t have any friends over. #waituntilourneckslonglongliao Secondly, we weren’t included in any of our parents’ house visiting plans. #boohoohoo  Oh well~ Nonetheless, we were still dressed to the nines for the occasion. Our ‘Reunion’ Dinner!

Lunar New Year is just around the corner. Unfortunately for us, we won’t be able to tag along for our parents’ reunion dinner. Don’t feel too sorry for us, because Mummy already made up for it! #mummyreallyisdabest To satisfy our little tummies, Mummy went ahead and ordered a Superdog Kitchen’s Chinese New Year special for us! Hehe, of cos we must dress up for the meal – featuring our Monkey Bandanas from Loyal.D! Sniffing and checking out the goodies in store for us. Ta-dah~ it was the Ong-Lai-Loh! Because Mummy’s lousy photography skills cannot do Ong-Lai Loh justice, here’s how gorgeous it really is! In case you’re wondering, it smelt and tasted every bit as good as it looked. For my birthday this year, our dearest sponsors, Howlistic Life, showered me and Pecan ah ma with products from one of their new brands, Zee.Dog! #freethingsequalstohappymummy #yalaourmummyisacheapo #happymummyequalshappydogs We’re clearly too spoilt for choice! We decided to try on the harnesses for starters. Sam is wearing the Chewy Mesh Plus Harness while Pecan’s donning the Barracuda Mesh Plus Harness. Careful hor, I’ll bite like the sharks on my harness. #suddenlysomanly “Ah ma, there is a fly on your nose!” The harnesses were really comfortable and fitted us nicely.  (We both wear an S) We loved how edgy the Skull logo looked and it turns out to be functional as well – it helps hold the stitches together. I turned SIX – my second celebration!

And my celebration continues. This time, with the second most important *cough* lady *cough* in my life. #ohmancannotbelieveIhadtosaythat For starters, we turned up for my party dressed to the nines in our new Crew La La collars. Mummy is damn ridiculous la.  When she was shopping for the collars, she was worried that the bows would get lost in our shaggy coats. Hence she decided to opt for the bigger design. Well done lor.  #nowwelookstupid #thebowisasbigasmyface Oh well, at least you can’t miss it for now. Thankfully, the bows are detachable. #phew For once, Mummy really planned ahead for my birthday this year.  #sheusuallyisverylastminuteone She actually ordered personalised bunting just for us since October last year. #wahsotouchedleh This is from ms.emmeline.pets. Well, if you think my birthday is just over like that, you are so so so wrong. #dontforgetmummyisobsessedwithmelor #mybirthdayisahugethinghor Lucky for me, the actual day fell on a school day! (I go to dog school at Puppy Colours every tuesday.) School started off as per normal. And that means hanging out with my classmates and getting into trouble . #happyfacesallaround After all the fun and learning, it was the best part of the day –  My birthday Celebration.
