Riding Shotgun..

One of the perks of being back in Singapore is endless car rides! Wheee~ And to make things even better, I get to ride shotgun when mummy picks Daddy up after work! Acting all prim and proper.  Hee, I’m wearing a bow tie as Daddy’s colleagues wanted to meet me! (Well, don’t I just look so smart in it?) Waiting for Daddy’s course to end. Anyway, (almost) everyone was mesmerized by me when they met me!  Hee, how not to? Cos I’m SAMMY LOO! And I got so many hugs and kisses! Can’t wait till the next time mummy heads out to pick daddy up!

The after party!

Well, my birthday celebration didn’t just end with lunch.  Since it was my special special day, I was entitled to have a blast!  Woohoo~ *Little wriggly dance* It continued with Mummy allowing me to roam the whole compound! I started by exploring the surroundings of the cafe.. (Kinda hoping to find some food crumbs but failed miserably. -_- ) After which, I ventured off to the grassy areas. Off I went~ Then I spotted something… A DOGGY POOL!! I was extremely obsessed with finding the entrance into the pool and could not stop running around the fence. Unfortunately, the pool was completely fenced up. Unlike the rest of the compound which is open (free) to the public, there’s an entry charge for the usage of the pool.  I refused to give up! Oh oh , and a really Cute candid shot of me! Mummy was contemplating if she should let me swim. While I’m a really strong swimmer, she was worried that I might throw up after swimming due to the yummy lunch I just …

The day i turned one two THREE!

On 26th January 2013, me, little Sammy Loo Lim, turned 3.  Due to the huge move back and Daddy being away, mummy’s initial plan of throwing a birthday party for me went down the drain. She decided to keep it simple by bringing me out for a birthday lunch. After some research, she chose the K9 cafe by K9 Kulture located at turf city.  K9 Kulture occupies a pretty huge lot that is completely fenced in. Once we walked through the double gate, I was free to roam around the whole compound.  Sigh, the joys of being off leashed~ Oh oh, and the cafe is fully air conditioned! Yes, dogs are allowed inside too! Wheeeeeeeee A furkids menu just for cute dogs like me.  After some thought, I decided to try the beef meatballs!   What’s a birthday without a birthday cake! Mummy asked me to choose my own cake and I chose the only ‘manly’ cake – the blue one.  I got to act like an adult and even sat on the chair like the …

My little photoshoot…

Remember the family photoshoot we had last july? While mummy was in love with how the photos turned out, she was a little disappointed that I looked bored in most of the shots. Hence, she decided that she would have a photoshoot of me. Yap, just me.  After scouting for a while (on a pretty limited budget), she found a photographer friend who happened to be fundraising for her upcoming marathon for the shoot.  Choosing the location for the photoshoot was easy breezy. Yap, no surprises, it was at Central Park!  Not to mention that, Central Park in Autumn was an excellent setting too! It took a little while for me to get my paws on the photos but good things are definitely worth the wait. So, here goes… Lastly, my favorite shot of the session.  Just sammy and mummy. Hee, mummy was totally unprepared to be in the shoot (thus she kinda looked like shit. shhh..). But still, i think the shot totally captured how much she adores me. PS, I love you too …

Quick update!!

Sorry the lack of updates.  (I blame it on mummy as her 1 year old Macbook Air had decided that it was time to retire forever.) Anyway, I’ve made it safely to mummy’s homeland, Sunny little red dot – Singapore!  I’ve also survived A 6 hours flight to Amsterdam, followed by, a 10 hours layover and nope, I didn’t have no brownies, I swear. *Grinz*. And another 12 hours flight to Singapore. After which, a 10 days quarantine at Sembawang Animal Quarantine Station (but I had frequent visitors thanks to grandmummy and Uncle, and mummy’s friends). I’m also starting to adapt to the hot hot HOT weather in Singapore. Dang, I am a survivor, indeed. I’m not going to share much information about the pet transport company here as mummy was really disappointed with the amount of service she received for the amount of money that she paid for my ride. Well, let’s put it this way, my ride costs more than 2 round trip tickets from Singapore to NYC. (Yap, my parents are that insane.) …

Saying my goodbyes to Coco and Toto!

One of the places that I’m going to miss a ton in NYC is my favorite daycare – Coco and Toto. I’ve been going to this daycare for a year (the previous place closed down!) and both my parents and I absolutely adore them.  It was really bittersweet on my last day at daycare. Although I did received tons and tons of hugs, tummy rubs and kisses, I was also really sad to say goodbye. Mummy prepared a “Thank You” card and a cute Polaroid of me and gave it to the staff who had been awesome to me. Hee, they always tell mummy that I’m the best and most well-behaved Jack Russell they have ever seen. Ho ho ho. (Which mummy would reply in return that I am a fraud. Boo~) Coco and Toto is a cage less daycare and dogs who have sleepovers will remain in the common room with all the other dogs the whole time. Hence, I was never lonely during the three to four staycations I had with them. I …

My Last Week in New York… (Part II)

Despite the cold, mummy and I went for a nice long stroll along the Hudson river. Hee, I was walking way ahead of mummy as I was pretty excited as it had been a while since we walked that route. The wind was pretty strong (thus explaining my mohawk).  Posing in front of New Jersey beside the NY Waterway ferry terminal. Taking in the breathtaking view.  The lovely tall building is where we called home for the past three years. Enjoying the hudson breeze.. After enjoying the breeze, we decided to walk on.  As usual, mummy was too slow for me… *snooze* Hee, decided to put what I learnt in agility class (donkey years ago) into practical use – Beam balancing. Running on the beam! The sun was setting as we walked and it sure was glaring. I could barely open my little eyes. Sigh, I’m going to miss such extraordinary views. I was on the Top of the Rock! Okay, yeah, that was lame. =P It was pretty awesome just chilling on the rocks. …

My last week in New York… (Part I)

This is officially my last week in NYC. My parents are moving back home to Singapore. And yap, I’m moving from the Big Apple to the little red dot half way round the globe.  Anyway, since it’s my last week, mummy decided to make it a special week and bring me to places in the city that I frequent and love. Hence, I’m going to share my final few adventures in the city over the next few days.  We hopped on the train on a lovely winter day to…. Union Square Park!!! Actually, mummy wanted to visit the Christmas market there. So she ended up dragging me, daddy and grandmummy there.  But hey, I’m not complaining..  because… It’s a squirrel heaven! Woohoo~~~ Dang.. check out how fat the well-fed squirrels are.. *drools* So I embarked on my hunting spree and was busy squirrel hunting. Nope, not here… How about here?  nope…  After a good ten minutes of futile challenging squirrel hunting, we decided to head into the market. The market was so crowded that daddy decided …
