MERRY CHRISTMAS! Our Yacht charter!

It was a long weekend and with long weekends come exciting plans! This time, we were heading out to a fun day at sea! Yap, Auntie J chartered a yacht for the whole extended family (thirteen two-legged ones and three four-legged ones)! We gathered at Sentosa Cove and waited excitedly for our adventure to begin! #tryingtolivetheataslife #thisiswhatourdaddycanafford It was a tad hot and pretty soon, we were both showing our ‘Asian’ eyes, no thanks to the glaring sun. #whyyoutakephotoalwayssoslowone #ourmummysucks We met up with Captain and he led us to the yacht. Pecan ah ma is taking her pick of which yacht she fancies. Of course, Mummy said no to everything she picked. I turned SIX – my second celebration!

And my celebration continues. This time, with the second most important *cough* lady *cough* in my life. #ohmancannotbelieveIhadtosaythat For starters, we turned up for my party dressed to the nines in our new Crew La La collars. Mummy is damn ridiculous la.  When she was shopping for the collars, she was worried that the bows would get lost in our shaggy coats. Hence she decided to opt for the bigger design. Well done lor.  #nowwelookstupid #thebowisasbigasmyface Oh well, at least you can’t miss it for now. Thankfully, the bows are detachable. #phew For once, Mummy really planned ahead for my birthday this year.  #sheusuallyisverylastminuteone She actually ordered personalised bunting just for us since October last year. #wahsotouchedleh This is from ms.emmeline.pets. So cool right? It’s a pity that the clipart cannot be customised.  But we still adore it! Well, if you think my birthday is just over like that, you are so so so wrong. #dontforgetmummyisobsessedwithmelor #mybirthdayisahugethinghor Lucky for me, the actual day fell on a school day! (I go to dog school at Puppy Colours every tuesday.) School started off as per normal. And that means hanging out with my classmates and getting into trouble . #happyfacesallaround After all the fun and learning, it was the best part of the day –  My birthday Celebration. Mummy ordered a rainbow cake from The Barkery.  #mummyisdabest #nowallmyclassmatesknowhowoldIam #iamyoungatheart While I am usually a red meat eater, Mummy decided to go for a lighter flavour and chose fish instead. A Fuzzy Sleepover

It’s been a while since we did something fun in our lives. To spice our boring lives up a little, Mummy decided to throw us a sleepover party! Hence, she asked us to invite our friends to join us. But hor, we don’t really have many friends. #nothankstopecan #myfriendsareinNYC #weemocosoursleepoverlookspossiblyboring Oh well, so we decided to make do and invited our three FuzzYard troublemaker friends! Say hi to Electra the Unicorn, Aussie Shoo and Sushi the Fish. Since it’s a party, it was a must to wear hats. #theunicornnohatcosthehorntoohigh We spent our whole evening chilling and chatting about our lives. (Screams: BORING) And that was when we started to hear grumbling sounds coming from our little tummies. Well, I mean a sleepover isn’t really a sleepover without some yummy snacks! Paw Pet-radise is BACK!!

Our little fragile hearts died a little the day we learnt that Paw Pet-radise was closing. Afterall, it was one of the first few pet cafes I went to.  In fact, it took Pecan’s virginity (of pet cafe visits la) too lor. #okaythatsoundsgross #tryingtobedramamama We probably cramped in like… three visits in it’s last month of operation. #machiamendoftheworldlor But but but…. You know what…. apparently, Mummy told us that Paw Pet-radise has reopened! WHEEEEEEEEEE! #wrigglydance  We couldn’t wait to get our little paws there! #sokiasuthatwewentduringthesoftopeningweek Although it is still located at it’s original location (at Balestier), it got a little facelift! The most noticeable difference, is the introduction of a solid partition at the entrance. Say bye-bye to the flimsy gate! No more greeting the new dog via a fence. #yespecanwearelookingatyou Not to mention that this is certainly more secured. Gone are the large sofas as well! With that outta way, there is more space for the dogs to wrestle and play. Our parents did comment that the new furniture isn’t as comfortable though. But …

A day of Lure Coursing!

We finally met the adorable Westies (Klaus, Jasser and Koros, brothers from the same litter!) from the Wooga gang! But this was no simple meet-and-greet…. this was actually an awesome Lure Coursing Session!! #paiseh #icannottellwhoiswho If you’re wondering what lure coursing is (and is too lazy to click on the link above, tsk tsk tsk), it is actually a fast-paced chase sport for dogs.  Using a specialised machine, dogs will run after a ‘bunny’ lure (usually a white plastic bag), that is attached to a line controlled by the device. The machine will run the line and the dogs will chase the lure. Simple as that. Mummy was really excited when she first heard about it. After all, Jack Russell Terriers (like Westies) are hunting dogs and chasing after a prey is in our blood! So, of course she would love to give it a shot! Pets Magazine’s Breakfast & Breed

We love pet events. But nothing beats an event that is catered just for Jack Russell Terriers.  The Breakfast & Breed is a series of breakfast events organised by pets Magazine. This quarterly event is meant for dog owners to mingle around in an intimate setting and learn more about breed-related issues. A vet and a trainer are invited to discuss medical and training concerns. We were very excited when we found out that the chosen breed to kickstart the series was none other than us… the awesome Jack Russell Terrors. Erm, I meant terriers. Plus, it was held at one of our favourite pet cafes – Happenstance Cafe.  So, we just couldn’t say no when Mummy’s ex-colleagues invited us to grace the event. #wewillneversaynotofreefood Stupid Mummy almost couldn’t wake up and we were nearly late for the event. #mummyisnotamorningperson Thankfully, seats were allocated beforehand.
