After watching episode after episode of Cupcake Wars (yap, she indulges in trashy shows), Mummy developed an itch for baking.  So, naturally, that means more home made goodies for us! Wheeeeee~ #godblesstrashyrealitytv Introducing our very own Dog-friendly Pumpkin Pork Cookies! And trust us, it is outta the world! #lickspawsinsatisfaction  What you need: This makes about 80 cookies! (Yap, Mummy’s trying to kill us with cookies. But hey, we ain’t complaining.) 3 cups of wheat flour (replace this with a grain-free flour if your dog is prone to allergies) 1 egg 300g of lean pork One half of a pumpkin 2 tablespoons of parsley 1 tablespoon of coconut oil  Do keep some water and excess flour on hand too. And we shall not forget the most important tool of the day – dog-shaped cookie cutters from Muji! What to do: 1. Preheat oven to 175 Degree Celsius. 2. We love pet events. But nothing beats an event that is catered just for Jack Russell Terriers.  The Breakfast & Breed is a series of breakfast events organised by pets Magazine. This quarterly event is meant for dog owners to mingle around in an intimate setting and learn more about breed-related issues. A vet and a trainer are invited to discuss medical and training concerns. We were very excited when we found out that the chosen breed to kickstart the series was none other than us… the awesome Jack Russell Terrors. Erm, I meant terriers. Plus, it was held at one of our favourite pet cafes – Happenstance Cafe.  So, we just couldn’t say no when Mummy’s ex-colleagues invited us to grace the event. #wewillneversaynotofreefood Stupid Mummy almost couldn’t wake up and we were nearly late for the event. #mummyisnotamorningperson Thankfully, seats were allocated beforehand. Mummy always tell people that I am an ABCD, an American Born Chinese Dog. Cos, I was born in the United States! Not only that, I am actually a true-blue New Yorker! Here’s how my story goes… Daddy was posted to New York for a work stint and of course, Mummy tagged along. #noitisnottaitailifeitishousewifelife Mummy has always wanted a dog (since she was a kid). So, there was no better time to have one when she has three years on her hands to kill in a foreign place. Hence, Mummy started researching about shaggy dogs and came upon Rough Coat Jack Russell Terriers. She also found a breeder (MeadowBrook Russell) in New York. Yap, it’s the time of the year once again. Little Sammy has grown one year wiser. To celebrate my bark day this year, Mummy decided to gift me not one, not two, but FIVE pressies (one for each year of my life!)!!! Hehe, since we had their signature fondant figurines for our Barkday last year (fyi: the figurines are still intact and sitting around in the house!), we decided to change things up a little. Here comes 2015!

Yap, yet another year has come and gone. There were some ups and downs in 2014, but overall, I think we did pretty alright.  So, we are hoping that 2015 will treat us equally well, if not better.  What better way to kick start the new year than to conform to the norm… by setting New Year Resolutions! Creativity at its best…not. #samandpecanonthebandwagon #lightbulbmoment Here goes… 1. Stop Lao-sai-ing (diarrhoea) Sad to say, both me and Pecan ah ma have been having non-stop runs for the past 1.5weeks.  Sigh~ It’s like a Merlion out of our butts.  #mybacksidepainliao #ahmashitslikesheisvomittingoutofherarse After Mummy’s failed home-remedies (pumpkin, boiled chicken and brown rice did nothing to help), she gave in and brought us to the vet.  So, the two of us are currently on ID food and a strict no-treats diet. Merry X’mas to us!

If I can have it my way…  This would be how I wanna spend my X’mas – Eating snow. Okay, I admit, and also peeing on it.  Nothing satisfies me as much as creating a yellow piece of art on a white canvas. Dog-friendly Staycation at Conrad!

Edited: Unfortunately, Conrad is no longer dog-friendly wef 1 August 2017. We’re heartbroken that we have one less staycation option, but at least we had a great time there.  Thanks again to all the Conrad staff that made our stay so memorable.  After having a blast at last year’s Capella Staycation, Mummy decided to make a dog-friendly staycation a yearly affair at the Loo Lim Household! woohoo~ #scored #thankgoodnessmummywearsthepantsinthishousehold #luckystingydaddyhasnosay As much as we would love to head back to the heavenly Capella, they do have a one-dog only policy (boo~) and we really don’t want to resort to smuggling Pecan ah ma in. (Especially since we ain’t the quietest dogs around when there’s a pool involved)  Hehehe.  Instead, we decided to head to a hotel that allows two dogs.  Unfortunately, we really don’t have many options.  In fact, there’s only two in Singapore – Hilton Singapore and Conrad Centennial Singapore. So, it was just another boring weekend afternoon for us….when Mummy got all cheery and started saying that she has something just for us! Of course, we jumped up from our lazing position and got all excited… Wheeee….  Fingers crossed that it’s gonna be yummy treats for our little bellies… Chants: “FOOD..FOOD..FOOD..FOOD” Mummy took out a box and started fumbling around, trying to set something up. Maybe it’s gonna be something pretty awesome and delicious.. And so we thought. When we were finally introduced to the item, our jaws dropped in disappointment. I admit. I’ve a slight phobia of Halloween. Whenever I hear that the day is approaching, I pee a little in my (invisible) pants. And the reason is totally man-made. You see, on my very first Halloween, when I was a mere adorable, cuddly little nine month old puppy, my horrible stupid mummy thought it would be fun to dress me up. So she went to the stores and grabbed me … this.
