Fiesta Island, San Diego

If there is a doggy heaven, I’m pretty sure this is how it looks/feels like.  Yes, this is the BEST place on earth. This is Fiesta Island, San Diego, where dogs run free, unleashed. This lovely peninsular island is just beyond amazing. Not only is there plenty of land for me to roam, the water is calm and there’s no nasty waves that might scare the hell out of me. Period.  There’s a specific fenced in ‘dog park’ for dogs that ain’t as good off leash (aka me). However, the area isn’t fully enclosed and there are openings at each end of the beach. My off-leash track record have been pretty horrid, thus explaining the long tail (leash) that I was tagging along. But nothing is gonna stop me when I’m having fun! The place is crazy huge. After an hour of fun, splash and hike, we barely even covered one tenth of the fenced in dog park. Look how huge the fenced in dog park is! Did I mention that there were plenty of …

My personalized stickers!

Mummy made some awesome stickers for me! Best part of it, it’s stickers of me, or rather, my silhouette! Gorgeous? Me showing off the stickers! They were made to personalized and label my own items.  First one went to my water bottle! Next was for my poop bag dispenser! Isn’t mummy just wonderful?  Love love love~

Sam the chair model..

Like all aspiring models, I have to expand my portfolio and show my versatility. While my specialization is modeling with chairs, I’m gonna show that I can do multiple poses. 1. Paw on the chair pose 2. Standing on chair pose 3. Leaning chair pose Here’s a close up. Not bad for a budding model, huh?

Ten Little Facts about Sammy – Number 6!

I have A LOT of sleeping spots. Being the only child/dog in the household, I’m entitled to be spoilt. And spoilt I am indeed. To make sure that I’m comfortable at home, Mummy bought me a couple too many ‘beds’. (No, I’m not kidding.) I shall introduce them to you one by one. Spot #1 – My little Petmate Kennel Cab crate.  This was the very first bed I owned. In fact, this is the crate that my parents picked me up in the very day they brought me home.  This is also the crate that I was confined to during the first year of my life (I was crate-trained). Sounds awful? Not exactly. This is Sammy’s little haven and I would retreat into it whenever I’m afraid (esp when mummy takes out the harness).  Though I have grown a fair bit, this crate still fits me comfortably and goes with us whenever we travel. It sits right beside mummy’s sleeping spot by the bed, makes me feel safe and contented every time I’m in …

Sam, the chair model-er.

I am a chair model-er in training. Rather, I’m mummy’s personalized chair (dog) model-er. As some of you might know, mummy has a unhealthy  , crazy, erm, decent obsession with chairs and have been on a chair shopping spree recently (Yesh, daddy isn’t exactly too happy, but as usual, too bad for him). To document her purchases, she has requested that I model for her.  Hence, here are the end products.  Me on a Herman miller 1970’s upholstered chair that mummy bought from our photographer (more information on that in a month or so).  Me on Mummy’s handmade ottoman.  Me on a vintage 1960s – 1970s wooden desk chair that Mummy bought on etsy.  Me on yet another herman miller 1970s upholstered chair mummy bought from a consignment store in Ohio.  I guess I am a natural talent. Hee, maybe this could really be a career for me. Hm, something for me to ponder about I guess..

Ten Little Facts about Sammy – Number 5!

I am certified AKC Canine Good Citizen! A letter came for me a couple of months ago.  And it contains my very first certificate.  And yap, that proves that I, Sam Forest Loo Lim, isn’t a monster after all. I am a GOOD CANINE.  *Beams* Despite that, I could still remember how hard mummy was laughing when the examiner commented that I had passed. Sigh, sucks that my parents have so little faith in me. -_-

Ten Little facts about Sammy – Number 4!

I’ve a little corner in the house that is just dedicated to me, me and only me!  Thanks to Mummy’s obsession with me, she has bought tons and tons of treats/food for me that they have pretty much taken up the whole window pane in the living room.  Hey, I’m not complaining…There’s always a running joke about how if there’s a catastrophe, Sammy would be the last man dog standing in the household as there would probably be enough food for me to last me for a year, (maybe 1.5years if I eat my humans). Anyway, here’s Sammy’s little corner!  And nope, you shall not have any of my treats. =P

Home alone..

Mummy left me home alone today. Unlike the usual times, she decided to take a big leap of trust and chose to leave me home alone outside my crate. Well, mummy had always wanted to do this as she felt really bad when I was crated for a long period of time. I would usually just lick my paws when I’m bored, so mummy and daddy would come back to a dog with really wet paws. Daddy, being the paranoid parent he is, wanted to try it only when he was sure that the whole house was dog-proofed (e.g. no treats that I could reach, no wires that I could destroy, blah blah blah). Luckily, Mummy has more faith in me than Daddy did and decided to give it a try while Daddy’s out of town! Thankfully, Mummy was pretty thoughtful. She removed the door of my crate, placed it at a comfortable location (so that I would at least have a safe haven to go to), removed Daddy’s PS3 controllers (Just in case…), covered …

Like Father Like son, Like Mother Like Sammy!

I think I take after my parents… Like father like son, I’m like daddy in terms of – Intelligence (High IQ) -> After all, I do have my own blog and facebook – athletic (I’m a fast dog) – lousy stomach -> Tends to get diarrhea wayy too often. (*Nods* Yap, Daddy too. ) – can sleep anywhere, anyhow and anytime…I could even doze off sitting upright. Interestingly, I take after mummy too! – Sociable (High EQ) Here’s a little peek of some of my friends.. (and yes, they are mostly girls. *Wink*)              Kiba, the Shiba Inu Lucy, the poodle Zoe, the lab mix Dexter, the beagle, Jack Russell, Hound mix and my proud brother! Ella, the Border collie mix – Enjoys sleeping till noon –> this I definitely get from mummy – Drinks alot of water, likes pee-ing in the middle of the night (Sorry mummy, I didn’t mean to spill your beans) Mummy and daddy always have a running joke about how their kids would have daddy’s …
