Made with Love~

After the Milo Kitchen’s treats scare, mummy started being rather picky when choosing treats for me. She is careful to purchase only treats made in the USA, Singapore or Japan. As a result, treats became kinda costly and Daddy NEVER fails to nag mummy whenever she walks into a pet store.  (sorry mummy.. boo daddy) Mummy did some research and found out that she could make good quality treats (without worrying about what horrible ingredients are inside) at a fraction of the cost in the comforts of our home! One easy way is to use a food dehydrator! She found a great pet treat maker by Open Country on amazon.  After a good 5 months of purchasing it, she finally put it into use!  Eagerly waiting for what’s to come.  Presenting the food dehydrator.  The dehydrator uses a heat and air flow to dehydrate the foods (reduce water content). Removing moisture prevents bacteria from growing and food from spoiling. Hence, treats made could be kept longer. Mummy went to NTUC and purchased some lean minced Australian …

Sam the monkey Rescuer!

Remember my rescue missions in New York? My missions ended when we had to relocate back. BUT!!! The lovely people from Water4Dogs adored me so much that they actually gave me my very own monkey as a farewell gift. Awww~ It’s mine, mine, MINE! While I was all excited to start rescuing my very own monkey, Stupid mummy chose to ship the monkey by sea!  I almost died waiting! After 2 long months of waiting, it finally arrived! Woohoo~ And on an awesome day, we set out for some monkey rescue missions!!! Monkey in distress! Here I come!!!!! Bringing him to safety! “Hm..monkey actually tasted pretty good.” “Oh what? I’m not supposed to eat him?” OOOOoooooops. Nevermind then. I’ll just parade with him in my mouth. Proud monkey rescuer giving the poor monkey some first aid! CPR with one paw! After two good hours of repeated rescues (the stupid monkey just could not seem to stay out of the water), I was a wet and exhausted dog! Guess now, I’m officially Sam the INTERNATIONAL monkey …

Riding Shotgun..

One of the perks of being back in Singapore is endless car rides! Wheee~ And to make things even better, I get to ride shotgun when mummy picks Daddy up after work! Acting all prim and proper.  Hee, I’m wearing a bow tie as Daddy’s colleagues wanted to meet me! (Well, don’t I just look so smart in it?) Waiting for Daddy’s course to end. Anyway, (almost) everyone was mesmerized by me when they met me!  Hee, how not to? Cos I’m SAMMY LOO! And I got so many hugs and kisses! Can’t wait till the next time mummy heads out to pick daddy up!

The after party!

Well, my birthday celebration didn’t just end with lunch.  Since it was my special special day, I was entitled to have a blast!  Woohoo~ *Little wriggly dance* It continued with Mummy allowing me to roam the whole compound! I started by exploring the surroundings of the cafe.. (Kinda hoping to find some food crumbs but failed miserably. -_- ) After which, I ventured off to the grassy areas. Off I went~ Then I spotted something… A DOGGY POOL!! I was extremely obsessed with finding the entrance into the pool and could not stop running around the fence. Unfortunately, the pool was completely fenced up. Unlike the rest of the compound which is open (free) to the public, there’s an entry charge for the usage of the pool.  I refused to give up! Oh oh , and a really Cute candid shot of me! Mummy was contemplating if she should let me swim. While I’m a really strong swimmer, she was worried that I might throw up after swimming due to the yummy lunch I just …

Meet our newest addition.. INU!

Well, mummy always wanted a second dog. But due to some reasons, we couldn’t. (PHEW~) So, she decided to satisfy her own desires by getting a puppy by Eero Aarnio for Magis. She decided to name her Inu (which means Dog in Japanese) since she’s learning Japanese. How creative. -_-  I wasn’t too pleased to having another ‘dog’ in the apartment and was a little hesitant meeting her. Despite that, I decided to be friendly and try to sniff her butt. But she kept ignoring me. WHAT?! Maybe she will respond if I sniffed her face. Still no response. -_- Unfriendly. To award me for my effort, mummy gave me a huge treat. And surprisingly, Inu didn’t try to steal the treat from me! Guess she’s not that bad afterall.  Okay, I decide to approve the new addition. Welcome to the family INU! After some exploring, I realised that Inu makes a perfect head rest! As well as a great resting platform. Sly mummy knew that daddy wouldn’t allow her to buy this rubbish Inu if …

Scrapbooker Sam..

Who says Scrapbooking are for ladies?  I’m into scrapbooking too! Okay, more like I give mummy moral support by staring at her while she scraps.  Mummy managed to find this wonderful scrapbooking album just for dogs on amazon and with a quick fix (she took an existing photo and did a lousy quick cropping job), it’s personalized! Whee~ Introducing my first scrapbooking page – Fetch!  Using photos we took during our West Coast trip, with the help of a Jolee’s boutique sticker, a great suggestion from Auntie Rachel (the grass patch) and way too much time (mummy took 5 hours!), the page is completed. Isn’t it just awesome?  More pages to come!!

It’s Halloween…finally~

Hee, it’s finally Halloween and mummy decided to bring me out for my daily walk in my new costume, as well as to test if the costume was able to withstand Sam’s rascal ways. And guess what, it did! Oh, and I decided to name him.. Mr. Pumpkin Head! We decided to test it out in the dog park. (Lucky us managed to head down at a time when there were fewer dogs and all of them were also my friends! Plus, none of them tried to stripped me off my costume! Phew~) And the testing begun with…an awesome game of fetch! Check out how awesome Mr. Pumpkin Head did while I sprinted.  Granted that he was a little off balance, but he sure did hang on tight.  Kudos to you, Mr. Pumpkin Head! We even smile in sync! After a quick rest, we decided to put Mr. Pumpkin Head to one last test… Sam’s Jack Russell Leaps! I jumped, and jumped, and JUMPED! And he just held on tight! WOO HOO~ Well done, Mr. …

Mummy’s impulse purchases..

But hey, I’m not complaining.  Anyway, remember my bed within a bed?  It has deflated over time. 0_0 It was on a random night when she was working on the computer and I was just lazing around on my bed beside her to realize my sufferings. When she gave me a quick glance to check on me, she suddenly realized that I looked like an unloved child (T_T), sleeping on a flat bed that was possibly giving me back ache (okay, I exaggerate). Mummy felt sooo bad that I had been sleeping on a real deflated bed that she decided to buy me a new bed.  Ho ho ho.. *Wriggly dance* Here’s a little proof of how flat the bed has become. (featuring my bro, Keyser!) So she went on a bed shopping spree and found THE bed on Fab.com.  No prizes for the color she chose (with Daddy’s approval of course)… ORANGE! After a 3 weeks wait, my new bed is finally here!! Oops..  I’m just testing the bed out. Look how fluffy and …
