Sam’s Pick: Dr Bronner 18-in-1 Pure Castile Soap

We should have known better when Mummy suddenly allowed us to get muddy and dirty on our day out. #shealawayshassomethinguphersleeves #mummybullyusagain Yap, she had her agenda. She just wanted to get us all dirty for the activity that me and Pecan dread every single week. #whoeverinventedshowersistheworstpersonintheworld #letusoutofhere BATHS. #wecringeatthisword The only difference was that she wanted to put our new ‘shampoo’ to test. Introducing the Dr Bronner‘s line of organic soaps.  #letusoutoftheshower Auntie Christina, from Nature’s Glory, dropped us an email to see if we were interested to try out Dr Bronner’s Pure Castile Liquid Soaps. She shared about how the soap benefitted her puppy, Koko, who was suffering from fur loss caused by allergies to showering foam and dairy products.  #socute Upon seeing how well it worked for Koko, Mummy was quite intrigued.  The thing was, unlike Koko, Pecan and myself really do not have any skin issues. Hence, Mummy wasn’t too sure how the soap may benefit us. To help decide which soap we should test, we raised a few of our concerns to …

Our very own event – A White Christmas Party

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Our very own ‘A White Christmas’ party was a wrap!  #itwrappedupdamnlongagolor #justthatourmummyistoolazytoposttillnow #tsktsktsk Not only did we have tons of fun organising this event with @vanillapup, @somewhitecookie and @iscreambailey, we were extremely pleased with how it turned out! #welldonedogslaves #thedogsjustlookcuteandeatonly #ofcoursethehumansdidallthework Mummy was too busy running around that she didn’t get a chance to take any decent photos. Hence, there isn’t a single pic of me at the party. #howcanlikethat #iamthehostandthereisnophotoofme (Also cos I was busy begging for food la) #tablehopping #Iisabusydoghor Thanks to @mangothesheltie, Cookie’s mummy and Latte’s mummy for letting us use their photos for this post! (Photo credit: @thevanillapup) Our eyes popped out when we saw the buffet spread. #wahmachiamhotelbuffetleh Thank you Ah B Cafe for whipping up such an amazing spread. (Photo credit: @mangothesheltie) If you think that the human’s food selection was good, that’s because you have not seen the furkid’s spread. #wehaveturkeyleh #humansnohave Needless to say, the food was wiped out in seconds. The good ol’ days – NYC

Just a couple of months more will mark the 4th year I am back in Singapore Yap, in case you’re new here (Hi welcome!) or can’t be bothered to scroll back to past entries (guilty~ like me..hehe), I am a New Yorker. True blue one somemore. #thesinglishonlyhappenedafterIcameback #Iusedtospeakinanaccenthor I was born in New York state and stayed in Manhattan till I was almost 3, before I was whisked off to this little island. To kinda mark the end of our adventure there, Mummy organised a photoshoot around our few favourite spots in the Big Apple. And since Mummy spent too much money on it, she decided that it’s time to go through them and showcase it on the blog again. #cheapoislikethatone #mustkeepreusinguntilpeoplearesickofseeingit #sitinharddiskdonothingalsowastemoneyma Here goes… No one place can replace this place in my heart. Ever.  My heaven on earth is, of course, Central Park. It was the one place Mummy and I spent one too many afternoons at, all year round. Erm, should I be seeing this? #oiyoursonishere #noPDAleh #buaypaiseh My happy place! This …

A new shop in town – Woofer & Purrlensky

One of our only favourite friends, Latte (Yap, the Vanillapup) is turning four soon.  And we were cracking our brains thinking of what to get for her.  #actuallyonlymummyisthinking #wedon’treallycare Because, like us, Latte has pretty much everything she needs.  So, it is a real challenge getting her a present. When Mummy found out about the new store, Woofer & Purrlensky, she decided to check it out and hopefully, find something for the birthday gal. #spotahma’sbackside We absolutely adore the industrial vibe of the store. #mummyisasuckerforanythingindustrialla The floor-to-ceiling windows make the space look really big, and the bright natural light streaming in make the products look lush and vibrant – perfect for a photo-shoot. #infacteverysingleshotinthispostistakenusingjustaniphone #lazymummydidnotwantotusehercamera Most importantly, the gorgeous pet accessories got Mummy super excited. #luckydaddydidnotcomealongelsehewillbesweatingalltheway As for me, I really liked how this reminds me of the few boutique pet stores we used to frequent when I was still a New Yorker. #sorrypecanyouwon’tunderstandone #imissnyc We loved the place so much that we decided to camouflage as furniture so that we can stay here longer! …

Sam’s Pick: Online Shopping with Kohepets

The kind people from Kohepets dropped us an email asking if we were keen to do a sponsored review about our experience shopping with them. Instantly, our shopaholic sides came right through. #weinherititfromMummyone YES,we said! Pecan ah ma and myself were extremely excited and both of us took some time, sat down and to come up with our shopping list. #tookoursolongcan #thinkingistiring We showed Mummy our shopping list and she burst into laughter. #gotsofunnymeh #seriousbusinessleh Oh well. After laughing for way too long, Mummy gave us the green light to go ahead and even helped us set up her lappie. #meandomummy With our shopping list in mind, we embarked on our very own online shopping spree. Hehe, I was kinda pleased that I had control of the mouse. #ihavethefinalbarknow #pecanhastolistentome #youdonotneedopposablethumbstoshop Concentration time… We love how accessible Kohepets’ website is.  The products are very well categorised and we were able to nagivate through the site easily. Since we’re raw-fed dogs, we were very specific in the types of treats we wanted.  Everything was listed clearly …

The Secret Life of Pets Breakfast event at USS!

In conjunction with the release of the movie, “The Secret Life of Pets” in Singapore, Resort World Sentosa recently hosted a breakfast event in Universal Studios Singapore for pets owners and their pets. And Mummy managed to score us some tickets! WHEEEEEEEEEE The only catch was that only one dog was allowed per family.  Well, don’t feel too bad for Pecan ah ma as she was treated to a fruitful day at Wooga! As much as we were super excited about this event, it really was wayyy too early for me. Hence, my cannot-wake-up-in-the-morning face. But on a good note, the early hours meant that there were no photobombing tourists. #guessitwasworthitafterall Queuing up for tickets. #stupidmummydidnottellmeIdidn’thavetoqueue #makemelooklikeanidiot #mummyisameando Wondering why everybody was. #areweatthewrongplace  Thankfully, Mummy didn’t get the date and time wrong! #elsetherewillbetwoblackfaces And we made our way to the streets of New York to enjoy our breakfast event. #IthinkIfitinjustright Blending in with the standee too! #theyshouldhavecastedmeinthemovielor The breakfast event was actually very simple.  An alfresco style brekkie with food served in picnic baskets. Looks hearty …
