Pecan’s birthday present – Furry Photos shoot

You may have been wondering why Pecan didn’t have a birthday present reveal like we usually do. It’s not because our parents got all stingy and decide to scrimp on it. #Ithinkdaddysecretlywantedtodothat #mummywon’tallowonelor It’s because it took a while for the end product to be out. #goodthingsareworththewait Yap, you may have guessed it right.. Granted, I wasn’t exactly pleased the day Mummy brought you home. #didnothelpthatyoupinnedmedownthemomentoureyesmet In fact, I probably sulked for the next couple of months.  After all, you did continue whack me countless times. #Iamnotawuss #Iamjustbeingnicetoanoldlady BUT I am glad we made peace. I guess it became quite clear to me that… 2 dogs = x2 treats 2 dogs = x2 birthday cakes 2 dogs = x2 Daddy’s shiok massages 2 dogs = x2 outings So, yap, welcome to the family! #samisverythepracticalone Thanks for being my partner in crime…. in ganging up with me on other dogs (HEHEHEHE!), in extorting our parents for more food,  in barking symphonies, especially at the pool, Thanks to you, I can manage being home alone a bit better. Thanks to you, Mr Vacuum cleaner doesn’t seem that scary after all (since Pecan will attack it for me). Thanks to you, my tummy (and yours too) is getting bigger by the day. The Secret Life of Pets Breakfast event at USS!

In conjunction with the release of the movie, “The Secret Life of Pets” in Singapore, Resort World Sentosa recently hosted a breakfast event in Universal Studios Singapore for pets owners and their pets. And Mummy managed to score us some tickets! WHEEEEEEEEEE The only catch was that only one dog was allowed per family.  Well, don’t feel too bad for Pecan ah ma as she was treated to a fruitful day at Wooga! As much as we were super excited about this event, it really was wayyy too early for me. Hence, my cannot-wake-up-in-the-morning face. Going Raw Rawr

We have been on a raw diet for the past few years. While we started mainly on commercial raw food, Mummy made the transition towards DIY raw over the last couple of months. For now, Mummy will purchase our proteins from the supermarket and that does restrict the types we eat. (We usually rotate between lamb, beef and chicken.) But thanks to Howlistic Life, we get to have a taste of Venison at affordable prices! #yeahforourcheapomummy Raw Rawr is made of free range, grass fed Venison from New Zealand. Not only does it include meat and heart, it also contains offals. #soconvenientcan The pre-packed portions are extremely easy to thaw (takes no more than twenty minutes) and really convenient to feed. Each portion weighs 50g and both me and Pecan gets two per day! #aperfectfitforlazymummy To ensure that our diet is balanced, Mummy does include supplements too. While we may not be the most sociable (or friendly) of dogs, we are very lucky to have been invited to many dog birthday parties. #thankyoufortoleratingus Each time, Mummy will flip the house upside down to find a post-it note or any decent card she can get her hands on at the last minute to scribble a well-wishes note to the birthday pooch. #soinsincerela #tsktsktsk That got her thinking.. why not create our very own personalised note card to thank our friends for inviting us! #shejustneedanexcusetoshoponlinela #poordaddy So she went on one of her favourite platforms – Fiverr to find an artist to translate her vision into actual note cards! Mummy always wanted a space to put all our barang barang and she even tried to incorporate it in our Senja flat previously. DIY TIME: Pill Pockets

I came down with a small bout of infection on my front paws. (No thanks to my itchy mouth) #cannotstoplicking A quick visit to the worst place on Earth vet and here we are, a grumpy-emo dog who is pouting about the meds he has to eat and a gloating ah ma. #howcomeIneedsomuchmedsone #canPecaneatthemonmybehalf Medication time is a TORTURE. Both to me and Mummy. Mummy: “Come Sam, time for your meds.” Nope. Not happening. At all. #sheiscrazytothinkIwilleatthemedsjustlikethatlor #eventhegreedyahmaalsowon’tfallforit #sheseemenoup There are a few ways to get those disgusting pills down my throat. For the morning dose, Mummy will painstakingly cut the meds into small sizes and hide them in my food. #sometimesIfallforthis #sometimesIdon’t However, I get fed only once a day. Needless to say, the evening dose is wayyy trickier. She will either shove it down (I HATE MUMMY), or dissolve it into a liquid and feed me using a syringe. Day at the beach!

It’s been a while since we shared photos of us having fun outdoors. So she decided to bring her camera along on our day out at Tanjong beach. Wheeeeee…. It’s a small doggie party! Yap, Juosta and Maneul from the Wooga gang came along too! #actuallyistheyinviteusone Oh and we met Li Bai the Spitz. #hisnamecrackedmummyup “Mummy, I hope you remember to bring my toy.” #addictedtorescuemissions Of course she did! Wondering where my usual helpless Monkey is? Well, Mummy, being the cheapo and lazy person she is, is against bringing the monkey to the beach. It’s too expensive to be swept away (when I give up) she says. More importantly, she doesn’t want to get wet to reclaim it. #whogoestothebeachanddontwanttogetwetone #sheisweird So instead, she got me addicted to the donut toy! Works either way. Like how she treats Monkey, I don’t get to see or play with the donut toy else where. This way, it keeps the toy really exciting to fetch when I’m at the beach. Mummy has wayyyy too much time on her hands these days. So, she decided to DIY more items for us! #heywearenotcomplaining Pecan’s wondering what’s on the menu today. #ahmathephotobomber Sniffing out the ingredients as we make a wild guess. #aiyathetitlealreadygivetheanswerawayliao Yaps, we’re making Dog-friendly Peanut Butter today! Yums! Mummy used to give us store-bought peanut butter. However, it can get a bit tricky choosing the right one as many of them contain unhealthy preservatives (especially xylitol) that can be harmful to dogs. So what’s the best solution for someone who has too much time on her hands – DO IT YOURSELF! #ourtummiesagreefully “Can we apply it to our favourite donut toy too?” #pecan’sstupidityisrubbingoffme #thisisaBADsign Mummy found a recipe online and modified it a tad. She added our favourite coconut oil to boost the taste and of course, for added benefits too. #ourtummiesagreeagain The process is as straightforward as it looks.  Simply put all the ingredients in a blender and blend and blend and blend and blend.
