Quick update!!

Sorry the lack of updates.  (I blame it on mummy as her 1 year old Macbook Air had decided that it was time to retire forever.) Anyway, I’ve made it safely to mummy’s homeland, Sunny little red dot – Singapore!  I’ve also survived A 6 hours flight to Amsterdam, followed by, a 10 hours layover and nope, I didn’t have no brownies, I swear. *Grinz*. And another 12 hours flight to Singapore. After which, a 10 days quarantine at Sembawang Animal Quarantine Station (but I had frequent visitors thanks to grandmummy and Uncle, and mummy’s friends). I’m also starting to adapt to the hot hot HOT weather in Singapore. Dang, I am a survivor, indeed. I’m not going to share much information about the pet transport company here as mummy was really disappointed with the amount of service she received for the amount of money that she paid for my ride. Well, let’s put it this way, my ride costs more than 2 round trip tickets from Singapore to NYC. (Yap, my parents are that insane.) …

Saying my goodbyes to Coco and Toto!

One of the places that I’m going to miss a ton in NYC is my favorite daycare – Coco and Toto. I’ve been going to this daycare for a year (the previous place closed down!) and both my parents and I absolutely adore them.  It was really bittersweet on my last day at daycare. Although I did received tons and tons of hugs, tummy rubs and kisses, I was also really sad to say goodbye. Mummy prepared a “Thank You” card and a cute Polaroid of me and gave it to the staff who had been awesome to me. Hee, they always tell mummy that I’m the best and most well-behaved Jack Russell they have ever seen. Ho ho ho. (Which mummy would reply in return that I am a fraud. Boo~) Coco and Toto is a cage less daycare and dogs who have sleepovers will remain in the common room with all the other dogs the whole time. Hence, I was never lonely during the three to four staycations I had with them. I …

It’s Halloween…finally~

Hee, it’s finally Halloween and mummy decided to bring me out for my daily walk in my new costume, as well as to test if the costume was able to withstand Sam’s rascal ways. And guess what, it did! Oh, and I decided to name him.. Mr. Pumpkin Head! We decided to test it out in the dog park. (Lucky us managed to head down at a time when there were fewer dogs and all of them were also my friends! Plus, none of them tried to stripped me off my costume! Phew~) And the testing begun with…an awesome game of fetch! Check out how awesome Mr. Pumpkin Head did while I sprinted.  Granted that he was a little off balance, but he sure did hang on tight.  Kudos to you, Mr. Pumpkin Head! We even smile in sync! After a quick rest, we decided to put Mr. Pumpkin Head to one last test… Sam’s Jack Russell Leaps! I jumped, and jumped, and JUMPED! And he just held on tight! WOO HOO~ Well done, Mr. …

Sam’s swim Updates!

Hee, it’s been while since I started swimming and I’m sure everyone’s curious with how I’m doing. So here’s a little update.  I’m still a little hesitant about getting in the water on my own. But decided to do it anyway. PS: I’m an official monkey rescuer. Mean mummy would toss the poor monkey into the water and Sam the hero would go to his rescue. Hero Sam getting ready to take the leap. Jump! Wheeee~~ BIG SPLASH!! Swim away~ Heading over to the poor little drowning monkey. Almost there~ Hang in there monkey! Got him! Bringing the poor little monkey to shore.  Horrid mummy decided to up the challenge and tossed two poor monkeys in the water.  Nooooooo~ Deliberating hard on which one to rescue.  Green or purple?! Ahhhh…   Sigh. I decided to save the purple monkey afterall.  Bringing him to safety. I basically spent the whole half hour trying to rescue the poor monkeys from mummy’s torture. Sure was rewarding! It sure is tiring being a hero! Oh oh oh ..did you …

Happy Halloween…

Presenting my Halloween Costume~ Knowing that I’m not a fan of wearing clothes (tho I’ve tons of it -_-), Mummy decided to get me a dog rider costume instead. Unlike a full ‘dress’ costume that would restrict my movement, this barely feels anything and is really light. I could still run around the house without any restrictions. Plus, I think I look really cute. =P Trick or Treat? Where’s my treat?! Happy halloween in advance~~

My Fresh Patch Experiment…

I’m potty trained.. indoors. Which means, I do my little businesses (big & small) at specific areas in the apartment. Mummy lays little pee pads on both bathroom floors and that’s where I know I’m supposed to go. Every time after I go, I would ‘announce’ my achievement to my parents by jumping in front of them and wagging my tail. Mummy would then toss the pee pad that I went on before giving me a treat. After doing the math, my parents realized that per pee pad would cost them 20 cents. Not a lot, but it does add up.  Upon some research, mummy discovered a clever product called Fresh Patch. Fresh Patch is a disposable dog potty that is made of real grass. It’s odor free and the urine gets absorbed easily. After a week or two of usage, it can simply be tossed away and a new patch can be ordered and delivered. Sounds cool? Hence, when mummy saw an offer on Fab.com, she decided to give it a try. The patches …

Sam the pendant..

Mummy got a custom pet portrait (Original Watercolor hand painted) necklace pendant made on etsy. While the final product is on the way in the mail, the artist sent us a preview photo. Ain’t I just cute beyond words? Judging from mummy’s smile, I guess she agrees and she’s absolutely loving it!

Sam the little packer…

In preparation for our big move, daddy ordered some boxes to get mummy started with packing. (Mummy is a MAJOR procrastinator.)  Well, i decided to do my little part and volunteered my help with packing, my way.  Peek-a-boo.. I started by checking out the box, making sure that it was sturdy enough. Checked.  Then I proceeded to see if the box was big enough to store mummy’s countless rubbish things. Checked.  Next, I tested if the box was comfy enough. Checked.  Lastly, I grabbed my little pillow and got ready to sleep…work. Well.. guess not.

Bookworm Sam…

Chloe’s mummy gave me a pressie today.  It’s a Bedtime Book for Dogs by Bruce Littlefield! It’s a book for mummy to read to me before bedtime!  What a great bonding experience! This awesome little book is about a dog who decided to explore his usual activities without his favorite companion as he didn’t want to wait, only to realise that it wasn’t at all fun without a good friend along. The book has words that dogs (ME ME ME!) understand and a story line that kids (both 2 and 4 legged) would love.  Hee, since I’m so smart, I decided to read the book myself. Spying on mummy who’s disturbing spying on me. After a good 10 minutes, I finally finished reading! And guess what, I flipped the book down and pointed at something I wanted. I stared hard at it, hoping mummy gets my hint. (which of course she did! Nom Nom Nom~) Another cute touch of the book is illustrated portrait of various cute doggies on the first and last pages.. and …

Daddy..

I wanna be just like you! So I slipped on the same singlet you always wear! Do I look like you? Hm..maybe cuter.. Mummy’s laughing smiling non-stop… so I guess I AM just like you – we do our best to make the person we love so dearly smile~ PS: Daddy wasn’t too pleased to find tons of little white hair on his singlet that night.  oopsy~~
