I was on vacation~ kinda.. I flew to San Jose and attended Mummy’s cousin’s wedding! (And yes, I slept sat through a church wedding!) Hee, we stayed at Hyatt House at San Jose which was super dog friendly and I got tons of treats (nom nom nom~) and love! Anyway, now that we are finally back in NYC, I’ll update the photos soon!
Uncle TL made me a fortress of pillows! And boy, it sure was comfy and secure. Me likey~ So comfy that I fell right asleep. It’s just me and my little fortress. Sweet dreams~
The heat advisory is out again, but me no fear.. thanks to the awesome hudson river dog park’s little doggy pools! Nothing beats getting my little paws wet wet wet. I’m a wet happy dog!
Like many dogs, I’m not exactly fond of being bathed. Unfortunately for me, mummy has a twice-a-month bath policy for me. (Sucks~) While I dislike the bathing process, I detest the drying routine even more. Here’s how it goes. 1. It begins with a quick attempt to dry me slightly using a microfiber towel, which was a gift for me from one of mummy’s house guest. While it’s a pretty small towel, it is pretty effective in drying my head, neck and butt area. 2. After the quick drying, I proceed to dry myself further using a beach towel. 3. Like a cat, I also try to groom myself dry. In the meantime, I would occasionally shoot mummy dirty looks to display my dissatisfaction. 4. Once mummy opens bathroom door, I would proceed to dry myself even more on my parents’ beds. Rolling around the duvet has proven to be one of the best way to dry my coat. I roll. And roll. After maybe a good 10 minutes, and probably about 70% dry, I …
A package of mine arrived today… (it’s from American Digs) And it contains two cool outfits for the fashionista me! 1. A seersucker dress shirt Something that would be awesome for a first date, maybe? The seersucker shirt is really well designed. There’s a velcro that is concealed by faux buttons, making it really easier for me to put it on while looking awesome. 2. A cool Murphy polo shirt that Daddy is a fan of too. Like Father Like Son, we are polo shirt boyz~ Hee, mummy actually bought these outfits for me to wear in Singapore. Can’t wait to show off my good looks in my awesome clothes to my new friends soon.
Since we were moving back to Singapore pretty soon, Mummy decided to organize a photoshoot for our family to capture our NYC adventure. It was a fun but exhausting experience. I was pooped by the time we got home. The photographer, Melissa from beIMAGED was awesome! (Hee, I got tons of yummy treats just by looking at her.) We finally received the hard copy of all the photographs and I’ve selected some of my best shots to showcase. We started from Central Park. My favorite spot in Central Park – The Ramble. Moved on to Times Square. Possibly my favorite shot – Hugs & kisses. Before finding a lovely street in Soho. Sigh, I’m such a good looking dog. =P Check out more lovely shots here.
I found a new way to beat the heat – Hitch a ride on a stroller! Thanks little Chloe for sharing her little space with me!
I am well-known to destroy toys. Hardly any toys of mine can survive the S-monster. So, mummy and daddy are always on a mission to find me THE toy. So far, so not good. (*Evil laugh*) Anyway, once again, Mummy and Daddy went toy shopping for me. This time, they bought me this amazing Starmark treat dispensing Chewball. Hee, mummy secretly told me that Daddy specifically chose it for me. (That’s a first!) Stupid mummy kept taking endless photos that I started getting sleepy just waiting. She finally stopped and stuffed some treats into the ball. Ready? On your mark? Get set. GO! And the fun begins. This was actually a little more challenging than the kong toy I already have. I love the texture of the toy and how it rolls around spilling treats. Of course, mummy had a heck of a time laughing at me chasing after the rolling ball around the carpet. Hot summer days are here. And yes, it sucks. BUT that doesn’t mean that dogs can’t have fun! Here’s the secret to having fun despite the heat! 1. Keep smiling. Happy thoughts keep you cool~ 2. Drink tons and TONs and TONS of water. 3. Find a covered cool spot and have a yummy picnic. 4. Hang out with close friends and just chat the afternoon away! Introducing Keyser! 5. Play your favorite game! That makes me a happy boy despite the heat! So, Bring it on, summer!
A new toy came in the mail today! It’s a buddy rider! It’s a bicycle seat for dogs, just like me. When mummy and daddy bought their foldable bicycles a year ago, they were figuring ways on how I can tag along on their bike rides. Running on a leash beside them was totally out of the question as I would probably get run over. The first thought was to mount a basket on the front of the bike. Unfortunately for me, I was a tad bit over the weight limit. (Boo~) So the idea was axed. NEXT! The second idea was to mount a basket on the bicycle rack. Mummy went online and found a Pet Rider Rear Seat. When it arrived, we were so disappointed to find that it was too big for the rack and ended up returning it. NEXT! The third idea was to buy a doggy backpack carrier, so that mummy can carry me on her back when she cycles. Mummy found the Outward Hound Backpack and gave it a try. …
