Our New Year Eve’s dinner!

New Year Eve is nothing without steamboat.
And of course my parents had to take it up a notch and do it in style – the sukiyaki way!
Looks great, but unfortunately, it’s extremely dog-unfriendly too.
Boooo~
Thankfully, to continue the new tradition that she started during Christmas, Mummy wanted to cook us a meal that is similar to theirs.
After some thought, she went ahead and bought these:
Beef cubes, carrots, potatoes and beef stock.
Wondering what she had in mind for us?
We were extremely curious too!
Yap, it’s homemade beef stew, the dog-friendly way!
(PS: Mummy excluded celery and used two cups of beef stock with two cups of water instead.)
Looks simple?
It is.
Except that it took a good two whole hours to prepare this!
To make it thicker, Mummy removed the lid for the last 15 minutes of simmering.
Cannot wait to chow away!
In case you are wondering, we have to sit and wait for our food.
It’s part of our daily routine. It sucks, but it’s life. Sigh…
Can we eat now?!
Within minutes, EVERYTHING was gone! And both bowls were sparking clean.
Hee..yumz
Thanks Mummy for spending so much time to prepare such yummy food for me!
What a great way to end of the year!
Mummy’s note: I tried abit of it and it was actually quite delicious, despite being spice/seasoning free! And the beef was tender and soft by then. Great meal for the dogs and it certainly would be better if it didn’t take so long!
